~a year earlier~
~February 2020~
beomgyu watched as the smaller boy walked through the gates with awe written all over his face. he couldn't help but softly smile to himself at the sight.
"hey gyu, what are you looking at?", his friend, yeonjun, ran over. the youngers gaze left the brown haired boy and turned to his friend.
"ah, nothing", yeonjun lightly smiled and ruffled the boys hair. "i can tell when you're lying". the younger pouted and looked back over to where the boy was standing.
his friends gaze moved with him, "oh, a first year?". beomgyu didn't notice but the tips of his ears had gone a light shade of pink.
"are you gonna talk to him or just stare at him like he owns your world?". the younger chuckled and rolled his eyes before noticing something.
the brown haired boy looked confused, this was his chance. beomgyu stood up and made his way over the boy, putting a small smile on his face.
"hello! i'm choi beomgyu, i couldn't help but notice that you looked a bit lost". the brown haired boy stared up at the stranger and a smile made its way onto his face.
"ah.. yeah.. i can't find the registration on the map". beomgyu let out a low laugh before leaning down to look at the boys map.
he soon pointed to the area the other was looking for and then moved his gaze up to the boy, causing them to make eye contact.
after a few seconds of silence, beomgyu smile again. "what's your name?". the smaller boy seemed to snap out of his thoughts and his cheeks went a light shade of pink.
cute, beomgyu thought. "taehyun- kang taehyun", beomgyu then took the map from the flustered boy's hands. "i will take you to the registration".
the younger boy stared up at him in awe and just nodded his head. "we should be friends, kang"
and that's how everything started
~April 2020~
"beomgyu! beomgyu! i got first place!". the older felt butterflies in his stomach as the younger threw himself onto him, latching him into a hug.
"i'm so proud of you tyun!". the brown haired boy looked up to him and brightly smiled. "i'm glad you're my friend"
friend... it made beomgyu's heart hurt a little but he knew the younger was just happy to have someone he can rely on.
but not all friendships last forever..
~July 2020~
"what the fuck choi?!", taehyun screamed at the older who had just done something he never expected. he kissed him...
"taehyun i'm sorry i-" "save it, i'm leaving". the brown haired boy grabbed his jacket before storming towards the door.
