"Izu…answer me."
"I--…Okay but you'll need to keep your voice down, please! Dad is already stressed enough as it is!"
"This letter…who is it from?"
Izuku took a deep breath and answered honestly, "I don't know. Todoroki and I followed some strange stalker and found out he had been watching us--"
"WATCHING U--" Izuku put a hand over the girl's mouth and put his index finger on his lips, indicating for her to be quiet and keep her voice down. Maya frowned and pushed his hand away. "He was watching us?"
Her brother looked down and nodded."Yes…"
"Fuck…" Maya under her breath, taking another look at the note before slamming it down on her counter next to her bed. "Did he say what to do with the letter next?"
"N-no…"
"Did he say what would happen if I opened it?"
"No…"
"What happened if I didn't?"
"…He'd kill those you love one-by-one…"
"…Then I'm glad I opened it."
"BUT I'M NOT!" Izuku took the letter, looking around for some sort of danger, but to his knowledge, there was nothing. Maya raised an eyebrow and got up from the floor, narrowing her eyes at her brother.
"What exactly are you doing?"
"This stalker could have planted something on the letter! You don't know!"
"You didn't see him use his quirk?"
"No!"
Maya blinked twice before sighing and grabbing the letter out of Izuku's hand. "Tell me, am I laying dead on this floor right now?"
"No…"
"So, then there shouldn't be much to worry about. All we gotta do for now is keep our guard up!"
"Do we tell dad?" The two siblings were silent after that question. They both didn't want to stress him out with this, plus entrance exams are coming and he's already swamped. There is someone else they could tell, but it would be insulting to tell this person first than their actual father. Maya sighed, "Let's keep it lowkey, for now, okay?"
