We walk out of Bryce's room and back towards the living room, when we get to the living room i turn around and smile. "You all better be out of this house within the next 15 minutes or else i'm calling the cops." i say and Jake sighs "Lia can we please talk?" he asks and i shrug "my parents are the closet thing you'll get to talking to me in a while...have a good flight home!" i say as i blow them a kiss while i walk out the front door.

Jaden and i run towards his car and i hop into the passenger seat, i take out my phone and text Bryce.

hey uh if mom and dad are still at the house before i get back call the cops

why would mom and dad be at the house

jake brought them over and i said if they weren't gone in 15 minutes i'd call the cops

I look up and turn towards Jaden "So where are we going?" i ask and he takes a turn "Somewhere quiet." he says, he continues driving for a few more minutes until he pulls into a grassy field that was overlooking the city, i climb out of the car and he puts his arm around me as we start walking deeper into the field.

He stops a minute later and sits down, i sit down next to him and watch as he reaches into his pocket, he pulls out the slip of paper he had gotten from Bryce's room, he hands it to me and i look down at it. "Here's what was supposed to be given to you a year ago." he says and i smile and unfold the note.

Dear Lydia, this is sudden for both of us and believe me i'd rather be staying back with you, words can't describe how much i'm going to miss you, i know this is what's best for me but it doesn't feel like the best option if it involves having to leave you.
I will work on myself because i want to be a better person for you, i want you to be able to talk about me to your friends without them bringing up something i've done, i want people to think that i'm good enough for you, i want you to know that we are meant for each other. Lydia Marie Hall i will keep fighting for you no matter what it takes, no matter what i have to do i will always be with you.
Promise me that you'll never leave me, i can't handle that, i need you in my life, you have saved me and i'd like to believe that i have saved you too. We will always have each other no matter where life takes us, and while i know this year is going to be hard, please never forget everything we have, wait for me because i'll hold on to you forever, i'll erase old memories just to make space for memories with you, i cherish all the time i spend with you, you're the one thing that keeps me going in life, I Love you so much Lydia, I'll see you next year.
