The day was beautiful. The sun was high up in the sky as it reflected off of the sea, creating sheens of golden light and sparkles. Calls of gulls and slow laps of waves as they kissed the hull of the Thousand Sunny which bobbed lazily upon the waters was the only thing to be heard for miles. Onboard, the crew was just taking the day slowly - some talking with others or just lounging about.

Over on the grassy deck, there were set of deckchairs and a table in a glossy white. In one chair, Nami had a drink in hand as she smiled contently, her long, tangerine hair flowing down her back as she basked in the sun. The New World had clearly chosen to be kind on that day, and no one was wanting to ruin that chance. In the other chair was Robin - book in hand as she scanned its pages, engrossed in the factual information stored in neat calligraphic writing.

"Hey, (y/n)!"

"Yeah?"

Then, there was you.

You weren't the kind of girl who would just strip off right down to a bikini set like the other two. So you often just sat around in your shorts an t-shirt, maybe a one-piece swimsuit on a good day, minding your own business or getting on with whatever you needed to do.

Nami's call directed your attention over to her, a smile on her lips as her eyes connected with yours as you sat leaning on the railings opposite.

"Are you doing anything today?"

Tilting your head, you were not quite sure what she meant. Clearly she could see you with a blueprint in your hands as you tried to ink in some calculations and labels.

"Doing anything? Well,"

With an awkward and apologetic smile, you lifted the paper as flapped it around a little so she could see what you were talking about. Clearly her question flew out of her mind as she gave a hum when she saw the blueprint.

"What's that for?"

"This? Oh it's something I was just working on..."

As much as you tried to hide it, there was the finest glimpse of a blush crawling across your cheeks. Nami was a highly observant person, so it didn't take much for her to notice this. You were so caught up in your own thoughts that you didn't realise the redhead had pushed herself up from her seat and began to walk towards you. Your eyes were reading the top of the page, so you didn't notice when Nami had fully leaned over you and plucked it right from your grasp.

"Nami thats-"

"'For Usopp', hm?"

The look that glinted in her eyes made your situation ten times worse as you could physically feel your face heating up hotter and hotter. Panic rose as you tried to reach up and get it, only for it to get out of your grasp due to Nami's taller height.

"H-hey, it's not what it looks like! It's just something I said I would work on with him!"

"(Y/n)! is it done yet?"

Apparently, your luck with timing was absolutely horrible. In that very moment as Nami held the blueprint far above your head teasingly, the sound of a door opening at the other side of the deck echoed in the quiet space. Both you and Nami looks towards the open door to see one man standing there; a bright smile on his face as he looked right over to you both.
