I knew I had my connections to Mr.Beast. Throughout middle and high school, Jimmy and I had been best friends, nearly inseparable. I was the first one to know about his YouTube, and I was even his first subscriber. What I didn't know, is that he'd reach out to me 4 years later, asking me to be in his video.

Yet here I was, driving to a large studio he rented with the directions pulled up on my GPS. He had 50 million subscribers, so how could I really say no? Not that I was doing this for clout. I didn't even have my own YouTube. But when a childhood friend asks you to participate in a video for 50 thousand dollars, there's no choice to except.

I drummed my fingers on the steering wheel, a little anxious to arrive. Besides the fact that I hadn't seen him in 4 years, he was going to be posting a video with me in it. For the whole world to see. I didn't know much about the video because he was keeping lots of it secret. All I knew was that it's a partner challenge with some others on the team. Apparently he needed another person, and given that I was his first subscriber, he chose me.

I pulled into the driveway of the large facility. I took a deep breath and opened the door of my car. When I reached the entrance to the building, I reluctantly stepped inside. I spotted Jimmy jogging up to me, reaching his arms out for a small hug.

"Y/N! Thank you so much for coming, we all really appreciate it! So how have you been?" He asked, pulling away from me.

"I've been good, I've been good. This is crazy what you've accomplished, Jimmy. Thank you so much for inviting me here after all these years!"

He shrugged. "It's the least I can do, you were my first supporter. Why don't you come in and meet the crew."

Jimmy gestured for me to follow him. Cameras and workers were stationed all over the place. I tried to wave to everyone but there was too many people to even greet.

Once we reached the set for filming, I spotted some other men and vaguely recognized them from other videos. There was also two others I didn't know.

"Y/N, I'm sure you know, but this is Chris and this is Chandler," I reached out my hand to shake with them. "These two are Joey and Rowan," he pointed to the other two men. "Joey was my 100th subscriber, and Rowan was my 1000th subscriber, so I brought them in for the video. Where's Karl?" He asked looking around.

From behind a wall on the set a man came shuffling out. I looked up to see who I assumed was Karl.

Karl was adorable. He smiled at me and blushed while giving a little wave. His face lit up the room when he smiled, and he also had on a cute outfit, complete with rings.

Rings.

"Hi! I'm Karl! I think you're my partner for this challenge!"

"Hi, I'm Y/N," I replied.

Jimmy started taking shots for the video and explaining to the camera what we were doing. Apparently, it was a dare video where I was partnered with Karl, Joey with Chris, and Chandler with Rowan. If you refused or failed a dare, you were out and the last people standing win 50k. I was a little uncomfortable because this was my first time in a big video and I didn't exactly know how it worked. I think Karl sensed my discomfort because he tapped me lightly on the shoulder and whispered something in my ear.

"Hey, I know this is a little confusing but you'll get used to it! Just stick with me," he finished with a wink. I smiled at his kindness and threw back an appreciative smile.

Jimmy turned to us. "Ready for your first dare?"

I looked to Karl and nodded my head.
