Saving My Demon (Douma x Reader)

Chapter 3

"What the hell? This is my turf. If you break into my territory, I'll make you pay." The demon exclaimed as he turned to look at you four. 'It's a man-eating demon!' you thought with a panic. Douma's eye started to twitch as he looked at the bloody corpses in hunger. Nezuko was also the same as she started to drool in hunger.

"There's something off about you guys." The demon started as he licked the blood off his fingers and stood up. "Are you four humans?" the demon asked as he made his way towards your group.

"Ah!" you yelled out as the demon tackled you with his hand aiming at your neck to kill you. You quickly took out your axe and slit the demons throat. The demon moved back as you landed on your butt. "An axe huh? Not bad. But a scratch like this should heal in no time." the demon exclaimed as his wound quickly healed. "See? The bleeding's already stopped." the demon added as you let out a shocked gasp.

"(Y/N)-san!" Tanjiro yelled out while Douma and Nezuko continued to stare at the lifeless bodies in hunger. Both of their hands forming into a fist as they tried to control themselves.

The demon jumped at you and grabbed your neck and your arm where you held your axe, making you suffocate from the lack of air. 'He's fast! And unbelievably strong!' you thought. "You won't get me twice this time. I'm going to snap your neck." the demon exclaimed as you grunted in pain. "(Y/N)-san!" Tanjiro yelled as he brought out his axe and tried to swing at the demon but was kicked away.

Douma was the first to snap out of his trance as he heard your grunts. He quickly dashed to where you are and took out his fan. With incredible speed, he sliced off the demon's head. You saw the head roll a few feet away from you. "Eh?!" you exclaimed as the demon's hold on you began to loosen making you shock as you saw the headless body. "Ah!" you cried out as you pushed the body away from you. You saw Tanjiro being helped up by Nezuko while Douma gave the demon's head a glare.

'He killed him! But wait! He's a demon so..' you thought. "D-Douma-kun." you said, not noticing the demon's body going towards you. Nezuko dashed up to you and kicked the demon's body away from you. 'I don't believe this! Did he just move without his head?!' you internally screamed. "(Y/N)-san! Are you alright?!" Tanjiro asked as he helped you stand up. "I'm fine." you told Tanjiro.

"You bastards!" the demon yelled as you and Tanjiro were shocked to see him still talking. "Two of you is a demon after all? No wonder they gave off such a weird vibe. Especially that blonde over there. He's an upper moon! What's a human and a demon doing teaming up huh?!" the demon yelled out. 'He's actually talking!' you and Tanjiro thought.

You were cut off from your thoughts when Douma pushed you away from him. The dust surrounding you four began to clear up as Nezuko was fighting the demon's body with Douma assisting her. "Stop it!" you and Tanjiro shouted as you picked up your axe from the ground. Tanjiro let out a cry as he began to throw his axe to the demon's body.

"Ahhhhhhh!" the demon's head yelled out as you noticed he grew arms from his head and is picking up speed as he ran to you. The demon jumped towards you. You let out a shriek as you dodged him and kicked him towards Tanjiro. Tanjiro let out a yelp as he blocked and struggled the demon's attack with his axe. "I'm sorry!" you quickly apologized as you saw Nezuko being thrown into the forest by the demon's body as it went after her. "Nezuko!" Tanjiro yelled out as he struggled with the demon's head. "Douma-kun, help Nezuko-san please!" you called out as Douma nodded and went on ahead.

"Out of my way!" Tanjiro yelled as he headbutted the demon. You saw him repeat the action again as he threw both the demon and his axe towards a tree, pinning the demon. "Okay! Come on (Y/N)-san!" Tanjiro said as you both went after Douma and Nezuko.

"Douma-kun! Nezuko-san! Where are you?" "Nezuko! Where are you?" You and Tanjiro called out as you both catched your breath. In your vision you saw Nezuko and Douma fighting off the demon near a cliff. "Tanjiro over there!" you said as you ran towards them. Tanjiro looked confused but followed you. You saw the demon push Nezuko and was about to attack Douma. "Stop it!" you yelled as you tackled the demon's body, making both of you fall.

Your eyes widened as you fell off the cliff with the demon. 'I should of had thought this through!' your thoughts were interrupted when a hand grabbed the back of your clothes stopping your fall. You were pulled up and immediately got engulfed in a hug by Douma. "(Y/N)-san! Are you alright?" Tanjiro asks as he peeked at the bottom of the cliff where the demon's body lay. "I'm fine Tanjiro-kun." you answered as you tried to slow your fast beating heart. "Let's go back and finish the demon off before it regenerates." Tanjiro suggested as you nodded in response. Douma placed you back on the ground and intertwined his hand with yours as the four of you went back to the temple.

Tanjiro brought out his knife as he looked at the unconscious demon. You noticed he was having second thoughts about it. A hand shot out towards him but you immediately recognized the cloud patterned haori. Tanjiro let out a gasp when he saw Urokodaki. "You can't finish him off with that." Urokodaki stated. "H-How can I finish him off?" Tanjiro asked. "Don't ask me! Can't you use your own head to figure that out.?" Urokodaki replied. 'But he did somehow used his head to make the demon unconscious.' you thought as you saw Tanjiro grab a huge rock.

You felt Douma tug at your hand as you looked up at him in question. His head was looking at his left as you followed his gaze and noticed the sun is about to rise. 'Demons burn and die if they are exposed to sunlight.' you reminded yourself. You went towards Nezuko and gently patted her shoulder. "Nezuko-san, the sun is about to rise. Let's go and find you some shade." you whispered as Nezuko nodded and took your other hand in hers.

You decided to leave Tanjiro and Urokodaki outside as you ushered Douma and Nezuko inside the temple before the sun rises. Nezuko picked up the basket Tanjiro dropped and went to the corner of the room. You were shocked when you saw she turned herself into the size of a child as she placed a blanket on top of her head as she waited for Tanjiro. Douma turned into his child form as you helped him inside the basket. "I'll be checking on Tanjiro and Urokodaki-san quick, alright?" you said as Douma made a pouty face but nodded.

You walked out of the temple and saw Tanjiro about to go inside. He let out a sigh of relief when he saw his sister away from the sun while Douma used his fans to fan Nezuko and himself. "Oh that's right. Where is that man?" Tanjiro thought aloud as the two of you went to look for Urokodaki.
