"I have never seen her like that. She's usually so positive about everything. What are we going to do now if she's losing it too?" Dami said. She was usually so sure about everything and now she was just full of doubt about their future.
Time passed real slowly, I just stood there not knowing what to do but to blame myself for everything.
Gahyeon and Handong had stopped crying, Yoohyeon calmed down and Dami looked thoughtful.
Finally the tense atmosphere was broken by heavy sounds of footsteps down the stairs.
We all looked up just to see Jiu running downstairs with her arm full of things that I had never seen.
"Unnie what are you doing?" Gahyeon asked.
"Do not try to stop!" she glared at us. She walked fastly into the kitchen looking for something.
"What is she doing?" I asked.
"We are as clueless as you are."
"What the hell is happening here? Why are you guys making so much noise?" Siyeon said. Coming downstairs with Sua.
Before any of us could answer her, Jiu left the kitchen as quickly as she entered it and proceeded to go outside leaving the front door wide open.
"What's wrong with her?" Sua asked worried.
"I think it would be wise to follow her outside before she does anything stupid. She's not in the right state of mind." Dami replied.
We all went outside just to find Jiu crouching next to the stuff that she was previously carrying. We could barely see anything else than silhouettes.
"Baby, what are you doing?" Yoohyeon gently asked.
"I'm doing us a favor. Something that we should have done since the start." her voice sounded almost feverish.
She ignited something, I guess it must have been a match. She then proceeded to throw it on the stuff that she had gathered.
It slowly started burning and little by little the flame became bigger.
"What did you burn exactly?" I asked her.
"Back when none of the rituals worked. I went upstairs, I was so angry so I decided to take out my anger on something. Just like I did back then when we came back to life, I took a knife and I sliced the picture only where his face was. So I took a knife that I had in my room, I started cutting and destroying everything that was ever his. And that was when I found his diary hidden in his old desk. As I started to read more and more of his diary, I felt sick and furious. The way he wrote about us was sickening, I just couldn't take it anymore. He made my life a pure nightmare because of him at night, I can't sleep alone anymore, fearing that if I fall asleep again I will see his face again." Her voice broke into a sob. Not much later Yoohyeon came to her and hugged her and with her hand she made a soothing motion on her back.
We joined them, some hugging them, other crying and other whispering reassuring words.
After a while the fire went out and there was nothing left but the dust of a dark past.
When we all thought that it was finally time to head back home and go get a long deserved sleep after today. Suddenly blood like smoke came out of the place where there was previously a big fire. Before any of us could do anything about it the smoke spreaded everywhere, blinding us completely from our surroundings.
Slowly my eyelids felt heavy and I succumbed in a deep sleep. After that I don't remember anything else but hitting the ground with my head.
I woke up again, why did my head hurt so much and who was making so much noise.
My door opened, I couldn't exactly see who it was, everything was blurry.
"Kim lip why are you making so much noise." I complained.
"Kim lip who's that? Did you hit your head or what." someone said.
Finally I could see fine again, it was Gahyeon. Gahyeon?
"Girls come here, I think our roommate Y/N has finally lost it. She thinks one of her favorite idols lives with her." Gahyeon said, mocking me.
The girls came one by one in my room, looking rather amused.
"I told her that reading too much fanfiction would brain damage her and now look at her, she has finally lost it. She should have listened to me when she still had time." Yoohyeon said.
I ignored her comment.
So wait, all of this was a dream. The orphanage, my ex, my roommate, it was all a dream.
Well of course it was a dream, it's been about three months since those seven strangers came here asking for the roommate offer. We quickly became close after that but why can't I remember anything else about those three month. I must be becoming crazy, that dream has messed up my head real hard. How stupid I must be to think that dream was real.
"Are you listening to what I'm saying Y/N?" Handong asked.
"I'm sorry I got distracted."
"Let's just go eat breakfast and afterward we will go watch a movie like we always do on sundays." Jiu said.
They went out and I followed them.
I slowly closed my door and it felt like finally a weight that I had for a while disappeared.
