Jack listened to his and Dave's footsteps as Jack was walking down the bathroom hallway, Dave right behind him. Jack was looking ahead of him at the end of the corridor which wasn't very far away. "So what are we gonna do first, Old Sport?" Dave asked Jack, sounding curious. The question took Jack off guard. "We?" Jack asked, turning his head a bit to look at Dave. “Well, I was hoping we could perform together.” The aubergine man said nervously, fidgeting with his hands. Jack frowned, contemplating. After a short while he responded with an "I don't see why not." Right after he finished replying to Dave, the purple colored man grinned happily like a child who just received a toy they were really wanting. He quickly stopped and looked away once he noticed Jack was looking at him. The orange corpse couldn't help but chuckle at this, looking in front of him again.
Rounding the corner into the dining area and seeing the stage curtains were still closed, Jack remembered Dave's question. "I was thinking about just interacting with the kids. Not anything big." "That's okay, Sport Old! I wasn't really thinking about doing anything big ethier." For some reason Jack felt this was a lie but decided not to ask about what Dave really had in mind. Seeing an excited kid run over to him and Dave as they walked over more towards the tables he decided to awkwardly greet them. "Heya kiddo!" The kid had darker skin with dark brown short hair along with hazel eyes. "Hi!" The kid wearing a striped shirt and jeans greeted back, Jack noticing the kid was wearing a Freddy’s branded party hat. "Is it your birthday?" He asked. "Yeah! I’m six now!" The kid replied back with a big smile which made the orange skinned man chuckle a little. “Well happy birthday!” Dave looked like he was about to say something before worriedly looking away to his side away from the kid and Jack. “Thank you!” The kid exclaimed adorably before running away to play with their friends.
Jack turned his head to Dave, worry filling his voice. "You okay?" He asked Dave who immediately flinched, turning to Jack. “O-Oh, I’m fine Sportsy! I’m just gonna be in the safe room..doing something..yeah!” Dave said, obviously making up an excuse before speed walking back down the bathroom corridor and entering the safe room, forgetting to close the door all the way. Jack felt nervous to perform for the kids alone, probably because he was still paranoid because of his springlock-caused death.
I guess I could talk to the guy who runs the Prize Corner here.
Jack thought before beginning to walk to the back of the dining area and out of the large room. Once he entered the same area as the entrance, he noticed the Prize Corner against the far wall next to the doorless entrance to the room he came from. The man who ran it had dark brown chin length fluffy hair with a matching lighter shade colored eyes, wearing the light sky blue dayshift uniform for Freddy's Jack had been forced to wear at all the previous locations he's worked at.
I guess the Phone Guy of this location forgot to give me one.
Jack thought. He approached the brunette, feeling uneasy as he looked at his obviously forced smile. "Uh, hey..I'm Fritz.." He greeted nervously, no longer looking at him in the eye. Despite this, somehow he knew the other man's smile never wavered. "Hey, you're the guy Scott Cawthon just hired or something right? I'm Matt. Everyone loves me!" Matt replied, his voice sounding almost bored except for the last part. "Yeah, uh..how long have you been working here?" The tangerine colored man asked after struggling to think of a conversation starter. "A few months. I've regretted every second of it." Matt replied, sounding more neutral now more than anything else which deturbed the orange colored man. Jack already regretted deciding to talk to Matt. Maybe he should go check up on Dave.
"I guess I'll go..now.." He said awkwardly, beginning to walk away. "YES." He heard Matt say before re-entering the dining area, shuddering at what had just occurred. "Employee! There you are." Jack quickly looked up to find a familiar red-headed phone guy walking up to him from a hallway Jack hadn't checked out yet. "I saw you weren't performing for the kids." The phone guy then glanced around the room. "Where's Dave? I swear if he's trying to abduct kids again-" Abducting kids? Jack frowned. "He's in the safe room. I was just about to go in there." The phone guy seemed almost relieved at this. "Okay just-make sure there are no kids with him." He said, sounding almost stern. "I'll check in case he does." Jack replied, doubt in his voice which the phone guy seemed to ignore. The orange colored man began making his way towards the bathroom corridor, remembering about the proposition and checking the clock strung up on a wall in the dining area. It was only 12:35. He looked in front of him again, the sound of his footsteps being drowned out by the sound of children talking amongst themselves.
Once he made his way to the bathroom hallway, Jack began slowly making his way to the still open door of the safe room. "He'll probably say no.." Jack stopped to listen. "He'll probably hate me after.." He heard Dave sniff. Was he..crying? "After I ask him..who-who just asks a person to kill kids with them?" Jack froze, his mind unable to process what he just heard. Killing kids? Why would Dave even do something like that? He's not like Henry or William, so why.. He heard Dave beginning to cry more. Was he really that scared of the possibility of Jack hating him? Maybe he misheard what the purple man said. He started to feel hopeful at the idea. He approached the door, stopping in the doorway. "Are you alright..?" Dave quickly looked up, starting to panic. He was still in his suit, dark tears that looked like it could come from a rotting corpse were still rolling down his cheeks. Despite his emotional state, he also seemed to be trying to keep his tears away from the springlocks. "It's okay..you can tell me." Jack said softly, feeling bad he didn't come check on him sooner. "I-well.." Dave stammered, seemingly not knowing what to say that would make him look better.
"No..no I'm not.." Dave admitted simply, wiping his tears. "I-I can tell ya the proposition tomorrow, it's no biggie." He said with a fake smile. Jack wasn't very convinced. "Do you want to tell me what's wrong..?" Jack asked, walking into the room with a look of concern. "I.." Dave took a deep breath before continuing. "I'm scared you might turn down my business proposition and then hate me afterwards.." He looked away towards the wall nervously, speaking rather quickly. "What's the proposition anyways?" Dave knew Jack would ask that, reluctantly deciding to answer. "I was gonna ask you to lure five children back here and then kill them.." He said, fear lacing his voice as he spoke. So Jack really didn't mishear what Dave said..he really wanted him to do that..his face must have shown how he felt because Dave flinched and began fidgeting with his hands, scared of what Jack might say next.
"I..don't hate you.." This caught Dave off guard. "I feel betrayed and a little concerned about what made you think about killing kids to begin with but..hate is pretty far from how I feel right now.." Dave looked at him, surprised. "R-Really?" Dave stammered. "Y-Yeah." Jack replied, feeling Dave hug him. Despite being taken off guard Jack hugged back, smiling at the relieved aubergine. After a short while Dave let go, looking nervous. "So I'm guessing..?" Dave asked, trailing off. "No, of course I wouldn't." Jack replied plainly. "Can we at least be friends though?" Jack frowned. He had mixed feelings about Dave. On one hand Dave had tried killing children once and wanted him to kill children too, but on the other hand he liked him. Maybe this would be a one time thing, Jack hoped. "I don't see why not." Dave smiled which made Jack smile back. "Let's head back." He suggested. "Alright, Sportsy!" Dave replied happily, following the orange skinned man out of the safe room and down the bathroom hallway.
