As we get older
Our lives start to smolder
That smile plastered on your face
From here to there and place to place
walking, talking, further away
day by day
day by day
I miss you more as the time goes by
Never took the time to cry
So i wait and wait for you to return
So long it made my heart burn
I hadn't expected that man at my door
A man that looked so sad indeed
When he stepped onto my carpetted floor
I knew at once, there was a war
A war with life
A war with death
"My husband" I whisper, my voice so light
"He's gone, isn't he" I say in a fright
The man lifted his head, tears streaks on his face
I knew at once my dear husbands case
It was me
That had to be
Dead upon the floor

My Poems
PoetrySome poems I've written and had nothing else to do with them. I hope you enjoy them. Most of them are sad, so this is a warning! I'd be very grateful if you'd leave comments about them and maybe even suggestions! Thanks for reading!
