"What do you mean, save you? What was your reason for becoming a swordsman, Zenitsu? Why are you being so blatantly shameless?" Tanjiro asked. "That's a harsh way to put it!" Zenitsu exclaimed.

"I got swindled by a woman and racked up all this debt! The old geezer who took it over for me was a cultivator! Day after day, I had to go through hellish training! It was so bad that I thought I'd be better off dead! I was hoping I could die during Final Selection! But since I was lucky enough to survive, I'm still going through hell every day! I'm so scared! Scared! Scared!" Zenitsu yelled while you and Tanjiro sweat dropped at him.

"I just know that I'm gonna get devoured and killed soon by a demon! My brains are gonna get sucked through my ears while I'm still alive! NOOOO!! Please save me!" Zenitsu cried.

"What's the matter? Are you okay?" You asked as you patted Zenitsu's shoulder trying to calm him down.

You and Tanjiro, along with Zenitsu, continued to walk your path. Tanjiro was in between you and Zenitsu.

"How are you?" Tanjiro asked Zenitsu who was sniffling. "Yeah. Now that I'm calmer, I'm getting hungry. " Zenitsu said.

"Don't you have any food on you?" You asked. "Nope." Zenitsu muttered. Tanjiro pulled out a rice cake from his pocket and gave it to Zenitsu. "Here, take this. Would you like to eat it?" Tanjiro exclaimed. "Hey, thanks." Zenitsu said as he took a bite of the rice cake.

"You two aren't eating? Tanjiro? (Y/N)?" Zenitsu asked. "No. Since that's all we've got." Tanjiro said while you nodded, agreeing with Tanjiro.

Zenitsu split the rice cake in three then gave it to you both as he held the other piece. "Here. You two should eat." Zenitsu said. "You sure? Thanks!" Tanjiro exclaimed as he took the other pieces.

"Here, (Y/N)-san. You should eat." Tanjiro said as he held out your piece with a smile on his face. Your eyes widened when you saw the person in your vision smiling down at you. "Yorii-nii?" you whispered out, Tanjiro didn't understand but Zenitsu heard it loud and clear.

"Hmm? What was that?" Tanjiro asked. "Is something wrong?" Zenitsu asked as well. The person looked at you in worry as you shook your head and saw Tanjiro instead. "I'm not hungry. You two can have it." You said and faced forward.

"(Y/N)-san." Tanjiro called, making you look at him. Tanjiro pointed to the box you're carrying where Douma resides in. Then he pointed to his nose and gave you a disappointed look then he pointed to the rice cake.

You gave him a confused look then realized what he meant. You let out a sigh of defeat and took the rice cake. "Thank you." you muttered and began to eat while Tanjiro also ate his.

"I know what you mean when you say you're scared of demons, but you can't make trouble for your sparrow, Zenitsu-kun." you exclaimed. "Eh? Was it distressed? The sparrow? How can you tell?" Zenitsu asked you.

"Well, he says that you're always whining about not wanting to go to work, and you're always hitting on girls, and that you snore so loud, he's had it! So he says." you said as you pointed to the sparrow who was perched on your other hand while Tanjiro nodded in agreement.

"He's saying that? You two can understand bird language?" Zenitsu asked as you and Tanjiro nodded in reply.

"You two are lying, right? You're just trying to trick me!" Zenitsu exclaimed. "We are not lying. Your sparrow really said it." you replied.

You heard Tanjiro's and your crow squawking loudly. "Start running! Start running! (Y/N), Tanjiro, Zenitsu, run! Head over to your next destination! Run! Run, (Y/N), Tanjiro, Zenitsu!" Your crows yelled.
