Your head slammed back onto your cot as the world beneath you seemed to rattle and shake, roughly waking you from your slumber. The sound of feet thundering on the ground echoed from beyond your tent. You sat up, collecting yourself before standing and opening the flap to your tent. Flames engulfed
tents and common centers around you, blazing all wildlife as well. Smoke floated into the night sky, covering the stars from view. You let out a cough, pulling your tan shirt over your mouth and nose trying to filter out as much smoke as you could. Your eyes burned as they wandered over your home planet crumbling beneath your feet.

The only image in clear view is that of a foreign ship that you have never seen before. It was the largest ship you had ever laid your eyes on, sleek, the surrounding flames dancing off of it's metal exterior. Storm troopers explored the grounds, shouting at any civilians who dared to attempt to escape. You watched in horror as some individuals were killed mercilessly with the troops' blaster rifles. Many were forced down on their hands and knees as they were being restrained and questioned. Some were thrown into groups, others tied up and left on the ground.

You stepped out into the open glancing throughout your surroundings. All of our ships were already long gone. All of the Bantha's were slaughtered in their dens or at their tie outs. Your chances of escaping were far too low to make an attempt. Hiding was also pointless as you watched storm troopers raid each tent, setting them aflame once they were done. You took a deep breath, lungs burning as you crouched to your knees and began to raise your arms above your head in surrender.

You closed your eyes trying to focus on the calming thoughts in your mind rather than tuning into the song of destruction, death, and pain that draped around you. The crushing of sand and dirt under pairs of heavy boots continued to grow closer to you, causing you to crawl out of your thoughts and forcing you to endure the horror around you once more.

"That's her. She's the best we've got" a storm trooper commented as him, along with the identical ones beside him, glared down at you.

"And Tamont is nowhere to be found? Is this certain?" another asked.

"He along with his wife got away. This is his daughter. She's our best bet to not have this entire mission be a waste of time. Do you want the commander to kill us? Get her on the ship. Now." The first stormtrooper replied, a snarl behind his voice.

Tamont. Your father? No. Not your father. Your mother's husband, yes. But not your father. Two of the stormtroopers grabbed you by your upper arms, yanking you off of the ground. They began to drag you towards the ship, the heat from the surrounding fires starting to trickle onto your skin as the distance between you and the flames shortened.

"Fuck! I can walk. I won't fight. I'm going willingly" you stated, trying to catch your balance and take your own steps instead of being dragged like a child through the dirt.

"She's got a mouth on her. She'd be easier as dead weight."

Your heart flickered. Dead weight? But didn't they say that they needed you? You could feel your heart start to pound in your throat as one of the stormtroopers raised their blaster, twirling the weapon around their finger until the butt of the blaster was facing you. It only took a moment for the blaster to smash into your temple. Black dots filled your vision as the ship continued to come into view, the last image you obtained before everything went completely black.
