*~*~*12:10 pm*~*~*

That afternoon, the four teens had picnic lunch plans at the park near their school. Alya is bringing Sandwiches and a picnic blanket, Nino is bringing Soda, Adrien's dad wouldn't let him bring much other then a salad for himself, being a model and all. But everyone is still bringing him stuff anyways knowing that he's not gonna want to eat his salad. And Marinette, is bringing freshly baked muffins.

Being summer, Marinette decided to wear a high ponytail, a short, light pink denim dress with with a white crop top underneath, white knee high socks with little cat ears on the top, and some black and white converse.

Since she wasn't feeling like herself, she wanted to put some extra work into making herself feel good. She grabbed her purse, that had a chocolate chip cookie for Tikki, just so she didn't feel left out for the picnic. Marinette took her journal and hid it under her pillow, just to make sure no one could find it after this morning.  She felt really bad about lying to Adrien earlier but what was she suppose to do? Out herself to him? Expose her 3 year long crush? I did the right thing. Her thoughts took over.

A faint noise came from the kitchen. The muffins are ready! She patted her purse, signalling her to get in. Tikki dove head first into the bag, banging her head into a cookie, which she wasn't to hurt by when she realized what it was. Marinette bolted down stairs worried she is going to burn the muffins, considering she always does. She grabbed the big oven mitts from the counter, way to large for her hands, slipped them on and opened the oven. Somehow, they where almost black on the bottoms. Since the tops looked fine, she covered the bottoms in paper towel.

She put the muffins into her little picnic basket that her Grandma got her for her last birthday, and placed all of the muffins in. She closed it up, and took her phone out of her back pocket checking the time.  "12:55! I might be on time this time!" Marinette said smiley with a bit of sarcasm in her voice. "Well, you have 20 minutes Marinette, we should head over." Tikki poked her head out of the purse just in case Marinette's parents where around.

They started heading out, and walked for about 5 minutes before Marinette remembered, she forgot the basket. "Well now i'm gonna be late!" Mari whined as she jogged back to the bakery. She grabbed the muffins off the kitchen counter, ran back out through the bakery, and off she went.

She speed walked over towards the park while pulling out her phone. "5 minutes! I really thought I would be on time! I guess not." Mari started running in the direction to the park. Everyone was already there, setting up. Out of breath, Mari started to slow down as she got over to her friends. "Hey guys, sorry i'm late." She panted.

"Don't worry about it! I just got here, My dad was holding me up." Adrien stated looking at Marinette scratching his head.  Marinette looked away awkwardly embarrassed from the last time they talked. Adrien set down his small bowl of salad on the checkered blanket that Alya brought. Alya immediately picked it back up and set it on the grass next to the giant tree that was hanging over them. "Hey! Can't I eat with you guys?" Adrien said confused but in a playful way. "Yes, but not that. We brought you real food.

The 3 friends laid out everything they brought. Marinette opened the basket of 'definitely not burnt muffins', Alya opened her cooler bag and pulled out 4 big sandwiches stuffed with chicken, turkey, lettuce, tomatoes, and sauces. Nino, pulled out some Fanta and Sprite. Adrien had never seen that much 'unhealthy food' (as his dad would put it) in front of him all at once.
