Sakura sighed. "What is it?"

"I think we should establish some sort of mutual respect between us."

She scoffed. "Respect? You stole my husband and ruined my marriage. How can I respect you?"

"Sarada and our future kid deserve it. We should have a functional relationship so that our families could be together."

"Why would I do that? So you can steal my daughter too? Look, I will never have any respect for you. You ruined my marriage, stole my husband, and you're turning my daughter against me."

"Soon, Sasuke will have more than one kid. So, what? Sarada can't know her siblings because you hate me? It isn't fair to them. I understand you're hurt but-"

"No! I said what I said. You should be lucky that I allow her anywhere near you!"

"Sakura," Sasuke said.

"No, Sasuke," she said. "You're just as guilty. You just expect me to forgive you, even though you broke my heart?"

I sighed and stood up.

"What's wrong?"

"Sasuke, It's obvious she needs more time, so we should just go. Besides, I have some katsusdon to make."

Sakura scoffed. "Go. Go be a happy family while I sit here alone."

"You're welcome to join us," I said. "All I wanna say before I go is, this isn't right. Sarada deserves to be able to spend time with us without feeling guilty. She has the right to have a relationship with us, despite our mutual dislike for each other. She deserves it."

Then, I left.

"Wow, this is great, ____!"

"Thanks, Sarada."

"_____'s always been a good cook," Sasuke said, "Even when we were genin?"

"Did your mom teach you?"

"Nah, I taught myself," I said.

"That's amazing. So, how did the talk with my mom go?"

"Uhm-" Sasuke said.

"Ya know, I think you're really lucky, Sarada."

"Why is that?"

"You have two pretty awesome parents. Even if they have their own issues, they'll always be there, and always love you. I never had that," I said and looked at her.

"Really?"

I nodded. "My parents were pretty shit. Then they died, and I ended up in some shit situations, but all of that got better when I met Naruto and Sasuke. I truly think you're lucky to have the family you have. That being said, Sakura is going through it right now, but you should always keep in mind that your mother loves you."

They both looked at me in shock, then Sarada smiled. "Yea, you're right," she said.

I nodded.

"So, what else was your life like? Your parents, your clan? What about the Uchiha?"

"You never taught her about your clan?"

"Uh- ya see..."

I sighed. "Lucky for you, I know a good amount about the Uchiha. I'll tell you all about them one day."

"Why not now? What happened to them?"

"They were killed because of some shitty, manipulative people, but since Naru is Hokage, that'll never happen again."

"You have a lot of faith in the dobe."

"Of course! After everything, he deserves it. And, I know he's a great leader," I said with a grin. "Anyways. What's for dessert?"

"You're the cook," Sarada said.

"Cookies!" I said before I got up and walked into the kitchen.

"Sasuke! We need flour and chocolate chips!!"
