"Conditions? What conditions could you possibly ask for?" Mai asks, annoyance not just visible in her expression but voice as well.
"I want my therapist to come," Y/n spits her tea in shock, furrowing her brows as she swiftly turns her head to look at Azula.
"What?" Y/n comments, very confused at this situation.
What is she planning?
"That can be arranged," Zuko says sternly, adding a small nod. "Do you agree, Dr. L/n?"
Do I agree? Of course, I agree! Living in a palace, that's everyone's dream.
"Yes," Y/n replies calmly, hiding her excitement.
"Then it's settled," Zuko stands and dusts off his robe. What a snob! This place isn't that dirty...is it? "Have the nurses pack up your things, the carriage will be waiting for you both."
Y/n looks over at Azula and the former princess gives a hum of agreement in response.
Y/n stares at Mai, and then Ty Lee, and then Ursa. They all stand up in unison and walk out of the room with the Firelord. Mai looks the most displeased at this situation.
When Y/n knows Azula and she are alone, the therapist decides to question her.
"Why would you like me to go, my lady?"
"Because," That's all Azula says before standing up with a shrug. "Get your things packed as well."

SCENE CHANGE
----------------------------------------------------------
Y/n gets off the carriage, almost scoffing at how elegant the castle was. She knew the Firelord was wealthy, of course he was he stole everyone's taxes, but she didn't know he was that wealthy.
Azula and Y/n are greeted by the servants who swiftly send them to their rooms. The princess got the huge royal bedroom decorated with expensive paintings and diamond chandeliers while Y/n got the guest room. It wasn't bad, no not one bit. To any regular person the room looked like it was made for royalty. However, for Azula, she said, "Oh, I'm sorry you got that room. I can ask for you to get a bigger one if you'd like?"
That comment made Y/n shake her head in disbelief. How could one be so out of touch that she believed something so magnificent wasn't good enough?
The room had a desk, where Y/n could do her work, as well as a vanity with all the makeup and accessories the royal staff was willing to give a commoner. A red carpet with a beautiful intricate dragon design decorated the floor. The walls held black candlesticks on elegant gold holders. The bed is just as beautiful as the rest of the room, and just as large ratio wise. It was a queen size, big enough to fit 3 people Y/n would say. All this just for me? I'm being spoiled.
Y/n continues studying the room, placing her items down on the floor, still amazed at this beautiful bedroom. She supposes she shouldn't expect anything else; it is the royal palace after all. She walks over to the bed and sits down on the edge. Suddenly, she hears something crack. She furrows her brows, quickly jumping off the bed and looking to see where the sound came from. An indent on the wall gave her the answer as that indent opened up to reveal a pathway. Y/n is in shock when she sees Azula emerging from the pathway.
"My lady?" She questions, confused on how she managed to find a hidden door to her room.
Azula smiles and reaches out a hand. "Come on!" She orders like a child.
Y/n hesitantly grabs it and follows her lead, a small blush appearing on the doctor's face. There was a secret tunnel that led to Azula's room. The moonlight shines brightly, giving the room a purple blueish look.
"What is it, my lady? Why have you led me to your room?" Y/n looks into Azula's eyes with confusion.
"Oh, stop it," Azula sighs. "I can't take being called "my lady" anymore. When I'm alone with you, I order you to call me Azula."
"That would be rude," She stares at Y/n and scoffs. "I can't."
"Rude is disobeying my orders," She leans close to the doctor's ear. Y/n can feel her own face heat up more than it already was. "You wouldn't want me to get you in trouble now, would you."
Y/n closes her eyes in defeat as well as embarrassment. She can probably see how red I am.
"Of course, not...Azula," Y/n smiles at the sound of the name rolling off her tongue.
"Good," She slowly turns around and walks over to her balcony window, a small smirk appearing on her lips. "You're the only person in this entire nation that understands me."
"Well, that can't be true," Y/n replies. "You have your friends Mai and Ty Lee."
"They used to be my friends," Azula quickly corrects, putting a piece of her hair behind her ear. "Have you been listening to any of the sessions we've had."
A hint of anger visible in the former princess' voice. This warns Y/n to tread carefully.
"You were friends with them for a very long time," Y/n hesitates but continue to speak. "They must understand you, at least a little."
"If they did, they wouldn't have betrayed me,"
Y/n doesn't respond, she only stands there looking at her feet. Saying something will damage her.
Azula and Y/n have gotten close over their past therapy sessions, but for some reason, this conversation seems more emotional than the rest.
"Remember this passageway," Azula breaks the silence. "I'll tell you if I ever need you to come this way."

SCENE CHANGE
-------------------------------------------------
A scream interrupts the doctor's beautiful sleep, a scream Y/n knows too well.
She gets up out of her bed and rush to grab a candle, walking over to the entrance to the secret passageway. She presses the button that opens the secret door and run over to Azula's room.
However, it would seem that she was too late as Ursa was already seated next to Azula trying to calm her down but failing miserably.
"Azu- my Lady!" Y/n yells and kneels down next to Azula, engulfing her between her own arms. The former princess' cries calm down slowly.
"It would be better if you left, Lady Ursa," I
Y/n looks at the helpless mother. She pities the woman. Y/n truly believes that Ursa was just a young woman making her own way in the world and someone who didn't deserve all the backlash given to her by the public and most importantly, by Azula. She also believes that the woman cared for her children dearly. She stands up with unsatisfaction in her eyes. Unsatisfaction in her inability to help her daughter. She stares at Y/n holding Azula before looking away and walking to the door. She mouths a 'thank you' before leaving.
"Shush Azula," Y/n says in a comforting tone. "It'll be alright. All will be well."
"It's the same dream every night," She laughs. "You'd think I'd be used to it."
"Tell me," Y/n looks at her. "What happens in this dream? You've never told me."
Azla hesitates. She takes a deep breath and tightens her grip on my shoulders.
"I'm in a dark room with two dragons," She starts. "They yell hurtful things at me. They tell me how I'm weak, how I'm running away just like my brother, just like my mother too."
She stops and Y/n can see more tears run down her face.
"Shhh, it's okay. That was perfect, thank you for telling me," Y/n gives her a warm smile and squeeze her even tighter.
They stay like this for a long time. Long enough for the sun to rise.
