Anyway. I don't need them. Never did. I'm happy, right? Right!
Now, to get rid of these annoying thoughts of my wayward family, I went to the bathroom with quick steps. There I took another line of coke at the sink with one of my credit cards. My nose burned from the white powder and I automatically threw my head back with a grunt.
I squinted my eyes and already felt the familiar drug running through my veins and spreading its effect. Am I addicted to it? Maybe.
Just as I pushed down the doorbell to the bathroom to walk out, I felt something run down my nose. I wiped up blood with my palm and stared at it, somewhat perplexed. Not that it hasn't happened before, but it's the first time in a few months.
Carelessly, I rushed around the corner, still focused on the sudden blood in my hand, as my body slammed into another person's. Surprised by the unforeseen contact, I staggered back a few steps.
When I looked up, my gaze met the dark blue eyes of a woman. It was her.
Shit. Shit. Shit.
She opened her eyes in shock, just like me, who didn't expect to meet her, just like she didn't expect to meet me. With the difference that I knew she was here. Not the other way around. She couldn't know about my presence or the presence of the other guys.
So I grabbed her by the upper arm and pulled her back into the bathroom where I had just come from, while she was still completely surprised to see me here at the wedding. I didn't even give her enough time to react or say anything.
Her back crashed against the hard wooden wall and with a grip on her neck I fixed her in her position so that she could neither warn her people by using her hands nor run away. My body held her captive while I towered over her.
A smirk plastered her lips. What the hell?
"Well baby, did you miss me that much? Has the bite wound healed yet?" she asked mockingly. I squeezed my hand a little harder around her neck but she didn't move a bit. Instead she smirked slightly. Does the bitch like to be choked?"Not even one fucking day," I replied back with a tense jaw, concentrating on hating her instead of thinking what she would do if I squeezed her harder. Who does she think she is anyway? She snorted in disbelief and I rolled my eyes already annoyed by her presence.
"But what does your knife wound look like? Do you still have to wear a bandage, poor baby?" I asked instead with a provocative sneer. Her eyes narrowed and I started smirking as she tried to pull away from me. To no avail of course.
"Oh doesn't little Layla Cocks like it when she can't free herself?" I asked teasingly, extra with the wrong choice of her last name.
"It's Knox you bastard." she hissed out between clenched teeth. I know that. But wow someone's got a sore spot.
"Of course, my fault." I whispered in her ear. My hot breath raised goosebumps on her arm and my already satisfied grin only grew stronger now that I knew what effect I was having on her body."I think we'll make a little deal, based on our failed situation here. What do you say, babe? Shall we?" I offered, but it was clear that this was not a voluntary choice for her.
"Why? Afraid I'm going to run around telling everyone who you are and what you're doing here?" she wanted to know with a raised eyebrow. Who does she think she is? Isn't she afraid of Falling and the consequences of provoking one of the members? As a CIA agent, she must know what we are capable of.
"Baby,..darling, I'm sure we can work something out so we can both walk out of this bathroom happy," I said with a sarcastic tone and a cheeky grin. "After all, you don't want to die on the spot and I don't want bloodstains on my expensive shirt."
