Holy shit. When I opened my eyes again the pain was damn strong and present. But I was no longer in a car wreck at that point, but in the back seat of a new SUV. Even the leather of the seats still smelled new.
I wanted to speak but my throat was as dry as the Sahara. I could feel the pain through my entire body, which is why I couldn't move.
After Piper, who was sitting next to me, had given me water, I could slowly begin to speak again. Everything hurt, but at least I was not dead.

Layla then told me that we got help from Claire and Emily just in time and that it was a good decision of us to call them and tell them about our secret mission.
