The Diary of Alyssa Potter (Draco Malfoy)

~Welcome Back~

Once again, happily back on the train headed back to Hogwarts. I noticed Draco in the distance and he noticed me too. He was acting weird, avoiding everyone.

He was wearing a black suit though and I had to admit he looked pretty handsome. He appeared to be a lot different though, his hair was different and he appeared to be more mature looking. He was even a lot more taller.

I was by myself on the other side of the train station waiting for my turn to load onto the train. Eventually I found Erin, she ran up to me grabbing my shoulder.

I jumped because she scared me, "Merlin's beard Erin! You scared the shit out of me!"

She laughed, "Sorry Aly. How was your summer?"

"Boring as usual." I shrugged, "Do you know why Malfoy is acting so weird? He's aware of my presence, but chooses to ignore it."

"He's moody as always probably."

I nodded still being extremely confused as to why he acting weirder than usual.

Me and Erin finally loaded onto the train and got our own compartment together, "Where's Luna?" I asked as we both sat down across from each other.

"No clue."

I was back into my dormitory which was the same as every year. The same place, same girls etc.

This was probably just going to be another boring year with the usual Potter drama.

I couldn't get the thought of why Draco seemed to be avoiding me earlier though. Did I do something? Or was he just being his moody self like Erin had mentioned?

I sighed as I finally finished unpacking all of my belongings. Luna finally entered the dorm room and she ran over to me giving me a big hug, "Hey Luna!" I smiled trying to cover up my worried look.

"You seem a bit worried Aly." She said with that usual sweet and soft voice of hers, "What's on your mind?"

"Nothing much." I shook my head still continuing to plaster the smile on my face.

"Something is obviously wrong, but if you are not comfortable talking about it I completely understand. Just know I'll never be far and I'm always available to listen."

"Thanks Luna." I was glad to have a friend like her, she was so sweet and caring. Definitely the best friend I could ask for.

After a while the girls in my dorm room started to head out to dinner and I just lied on my back on my bed. I didn't feel like getting up.

Luna once again came up, "Aly let's go get dinner, I know you wouldn't want to miss it."

I hesitated before getting up, I did so anyway.

I was eating so slow that it was visible to everyone else. The thoughts kept racing through my head of why Draco could be avoiding me. So many possibilities going through my mind, it felt like I was getting mind fucked.

The worse part, was maybe that he was trying to break up with me. He didn't write to me that much last summer. Which was odd to me personally.

Harry ran up to me and started talking to me really quickly, "Alyssa this is extremely important, you need to come with me right this second."

I immediately jumped up from my seat and quickly went outside of the great hall, which I saw Hermione and Ron who happened to both be waiting for me as well.

"What's going on?!" I asked once I noticed they all seemed worried and terrified. At this point I felt like freaking out.

There was a few seconds of silence and exchange of looks between them, pending on who was going to speak up first.

Hermione finally decided to speak, "We are under the impression that Draco Malfoy is now a death eater."

My heart dropped, I didn't know what to say, but everything made so much more sense now, "You serious?"

"We wish we weren't." Harry seemed to feel really bad for me.

I gulped. Harry pulled me into a hug, it was quite comforting so the rest of this group as well started to have a group hug.

What am I supposed to do?
