One Step at A Time (Wraith x Mirage)

"How'd the date go?" asked Natalie as she sat down on a bench with an ice cream cone in hand.

Renee sat down next to her and groaned, "horrible, you didn't tell me the dude was obsessed with me!"

"He'z what?" Natalie tilted her head 

"He had a tattoo of my face on his chest. MY FACE, ON HIS CHEST!!"

"HE DOES?!"

Renee looked at her confused, "wait you didn't know?"

"if I knew I wouldn't have zent you to go on a date wiz him!" Natalie drooped her head, "I'm so so so so sorry"

"Hey it's fine but uh, next time do a background check.."

"'Next time'?" 

"W-wait no, I mean, you know what I mean" Renee sighed worried Natalie would still have the idea in her head. 

Once Natalie was done with her ice cream they went back to the Apex tower where all the legends lived. Renee and Natalie shared an apartment together which was next to Bloodhound and Crypto's apartment. They weren't very close to each other but they were quite neighbors so they didn't exactly mind. 

They reached their apartment and went in, Natalie was tired and went off to her room to sleep, it was already late so Renee went to get ready as well.

This part of the story is now Mirage's point of view so uh yea...

Elliott was at his bar when he got a phone call from Renee.

He looked at his phone confused on why she was calling, she never called first.

"Hellooo alllllll" Elliott answered 

"it's just me Elliott...no need for all that" Renee answered sounding very tired.

Elliott checked the time (2:37 am), "Why are you awake at this time?" 

"Just thinking of the date.."

"OOOOO" Elliott gasped, "was it that romantic?"

"If romantic you mean creepy then yes" Renee sighed on the side of the line

"Creepy? What happened?"

"The dude had my face on his chest"

Elliott bursts out laughing, "IM SORRY WHAT?!" he said as he continued to laugh

"It's not funny! I was really creeped out and as soon as I saw it I ran!" 

"I'm sorry your right", he snickered, "Your right", he said with a forced straight face trying not to laugh

"just do it, I'll  wait" she replied yawning

Elliot then put his phone down begins laughing hysterically.

2 minutes passed by til he got back from his laugh, "ok i'm done, i'm done"

"mhm"

"Anyways, you planning on going on other dates?"

"Nope. I think after that I wont plan on leaving my room.." 

"Well you can't do that, who am I going to bother in the games?" He laughed

"I guess you can bother Crypto like you did when he first came"

"You're right, I'll take up on that offer"

"Wasn't really offering" she let out a small laugh

"heh, guess not..." Elliott pondered for a bit, "why dont you come over?"

WHAT, he thought to himself, WHY DID I JUST INVITE HER OVER?!

"Really, now?" Renee questioned, "Isn't a bit late for that?"

"It's never too late to hangout", WHAT, what am I saying??

"Uhhh, sure, yea I'll come over, I cant sleep so maybe hanging around you will drain my energy faster" she chuckled 

"Har har"

They laughed it out and they both hung up. Elliot sat down and began to feel his cheeks warm up.
