"You told me the kid was dead!" Dream snapped shoving Schlatt's hand from his shoulder once their bodies reappeared.

"Believe me he was dead!" Schlatt yelled back. His brow furrowed in anger, his normally cunning tone ripped from his voice.

Dream huffed in annoyance, briskly striding over to a woven chair and kicking it off the castle's terrace with as much force as he could muster. Schlatt could practically feel the anger seeping through the cracks of Dream's fort-like walls. Scratch that, Dream's normally bolted shut true thoughts had a break-in, in which he no longer cared who knew what he was thinking or feeling because he only has one goal now.

"Well, that isn't good enough! You aren't good enough! It's one thing if George and Sapnap die, their lives barely held any value. George was no longer of any use to me, and Sapnap never did anything in the first place! Useless! All of you!" Dream paused, huffing as anger spread through his veins. His voice dropped for a second, "But one of those brothers?" His fists clenched, teeth grinding. "Everything's Fucked!" He yelled again, kicking a second chair from the terrace.

Schlatt watched with a glare as Dream mangled the furniture. The chair splintered, pieces of weave littering the ground.

"You don't think I know that? You don't think I'm upset that he's alive?" Schlatt's brow furrowed in irritation.

Dream's head whipped toward him with an unseen glare.

"Well maybe you should show it more Mr. "All knowing." You want me to trust you but you can't even give me a reason to in the first place! We're rivals Schlatt, that is all we ever were, all we will ever be. I don't know why I even agreed for us to work together in the first place! If I wanted it done right I should have done it myself!" Dream's arms flailed about as he shouted.

"You know you wouldn't have gotten this far without me."

"Maybe I wouldn't have, but at least I wouldn't be dealing with a fucking liar now," Dream spat venom dripping from his tongue.

Schlatt was in deep shit now. His brow lifted slightly, but his features stayed tense. He could feel a bead of sweat drip down his neck, he wouldn't be caught now, not by this mother fucker.

"Well Dream, I'd like to know who you have the audacity to go around calling a liar." Schlatt stood his ground, head tilting forward, pronouncing his horns, challenging his opponent. They were no longer playing chess, they were playing poker, and Schlatt was going to hustle the fuck out of Dream.

"Schlatt I thought you were smarter than this. Are you really trying to manipulate me?" Dream's brow raised, questioning.

"Dream, I want you to think very carefully about what you're accusing me of, and then I want you to think very carefully about your next words." His voice was unnaturally calm. Invisible ropes tying back his anger and worry. He couldn't let Dream see through the gaps.

Dream was taken aback, Schlatt's previous demeanor did a one-eighty, was he telling the truth? There was a reason Dream had even agreed to work with Schlatt in the first place, the demon throne was a difficult task to acquire after all. Schlatt was an important pawn in his plan, his game of chess, he had been given the power called the all knowing. An ancient gift passed on through generations of demons, humans, angels, and other organisms throughout the history of the universe. As the name would suggest this ability lets its vessel know, well, just about everything. Though just like all powers, it too had its limits, and Schlatt had been extremely careful to make sure Dream didn't know those limits.

Why you ask? Well, his plans would be foiled then, wouldn't they? Now Dream had a choice to make, was Schlatt lying? Or was he telling the truth? He was fairly sure Schlatt already knew what he had decided upon, and well, how to handle it accordingly. If he continues with his accusations he would definitely lose his ally, and with that, the all knowing. And if he didn't? He would still have the all knowing on his side, a safety net. The question Dream now had to answer, is he ready to take his safety net away, and when or if he fails, how far will he fall?
