trust

ani walked boldly over to cal, i noticed his posture changed. and he lifted his chin slightly, only to show his dominance.

"classic anakin." i muttered, and padme noticed i became tense.

"what's he doing?" padme mouthed, gently sitting up and moving next to me.

"he's trying to act tough in front of cal. it's just an attempt to make him jealous."

i rolled my eyes in hoping that ani would hear me speaking to padme.

he looked back, frowning at my attitude. tensing his fists and carrying his focus back onto cal.

"i just don't see why he has to be so over protective."

ani heard me, which made him clench his jaw tighter. he turned to me, squinting his eyes and shaking his head.

all of a sudden, ani's voice filled my head. he was using the force.

why are you worried? do you like this guy?

i shook my head, scoffing.

i don't mean to be this way, but you're mine. mine only.

his voice formed goosebumps on my body, causing me to blush.

he saw my reaction and smirked.

"well, i'll catch up with you soon bud." he smiled at cal sarcastically, and came back to me and padme with a smug grin on his face.

"what did you say to him?" i whispered, pulling him to me by his robe.

"nothing you need to know about-"

"tell me anakin."

"aria, it's all handled." he smirked, "don't worry yourself sweetheart."

"don't, call me, sweetheart."

"we aren't going back to this aria - i'm not doing this."

"anakin - don't be a dick to my friends."

"i wasn't being a dick, i was making sure he was-"

"that's enough from you two." padme chimed in, "you guys argue like an old married couple. anakin, give us a minute will you?"

"of course, senator." he nodded, avoiding eye contact with me.

"cal is harmless. i don't see why he is being this way." i sighed, throwing my face into my hands.

"at least you know he'll protect you no matter what?" she shrugged, trying to make me feel better.

"i just feel bad for cal."

"i know sweetie, just tell anakin that cal is harmless and that you have no interest in anyone else."

"thank you padme." i smiled, trying to forget the fact that ani had pissed me off.

"it's okay my love, now, i'm exhausted. i'll speak to you in the morning."

i embraced her and told her goodnight, and she settled into her sleeping bag on the other side of the cave with din and rex.

obi wan was sat by the fire, meditating. as per usual.

and ani, was sat on the highest ice cliff, twiddling his thumbs like a child.

"ani, come down from there you'll fall."

"you aren't my mother." he called down, trying not to laugh.

"it's dangerous, and it's slippery." i sighed. not amused.

"you promise to let me speak?"

"maybe."
