Thor laid on his bed, swinging Mjolnir in his right hand, making sure he didn't accidentally throw it through the ceiling (again). It had been two weeks since Loki had been sent to Jotunheim, and to be honest, Thor was bored. He had nobody to talk to about his most recent fights who didn't already know, he had nobody to belittle and worst of all, he had nobody to gloat to!
Thor was stuck in a state of denial, unwilling to believe his little brother was a frost giant, a monster, both inside and out. Pure evil.
He couldn't believe that he had been growing up with a frost giant, a direct enemy of his race!
Thor had been told countless stories when he was younger of the Frost Giants with their cold, frozen hearts that slaughtered and destroyed realms and people, the Frost Giants who could show no love or any emotion really apart from hate, anger and coldness.
Thor was doubting those stories, as he had grown up with a Frost Giant for most of his life, and had seen more emotions come from his younger brother than the Frost Giants were said to give.
Happiness...
"Thor, look at this! Look what I can do!" Loki disappeared and reappeared from one side of Thor to the other side of him, grinning wildly and looking proud of himself.
Sadness...
"Not now, Loki. I'm training, can't you see? I have no time for your silly magic tricks. Why don't you learn to fight like I do?" Thor didn't even look up at Loki from where he was sitting, too busy adjusting his armour.
If he had looked up, he would've seen the tear roll down his younger brothers face, he would've seen him run off into the forest, the one place their father warned them about. The place where monsters and creatures lurked.
Anger...
The twelve year old ran into the forest, tears now streaming down his face as he went deeper and deeper.
Loki stopped when he reached a massive tree, and began to hit it over and over. He furiously wiped away his tears and hit the tree again, leaving a small dent in the bark.
Loki let out an angry yell, frustrated at Thor for ignoring him, for pushing him away like he always did. He just wanted to be equal to Thor, to fight beside his brother and not be considered weak.
Unfortunately for Loki, his yell attracted a draugr, an Asgardian demon. This particular one preyed on emotions, the stronger the emotion the more danger you were in.
The boy was too angry at Thor to hear the red, scaly snake-like draugr slithering up to him, ready to pounce.
Pain...
The draugr wrapped its body around Loki, covering his mouth quickly and wrapping a hand around his neck. Loki let out a muffled scream from the sudden attack, unsure of what else he could do.
"Sssuch powerful emotionssss..." The draugr hissed in Loki's ear, grinning like a maniac.
"Don't worry child, I'll kill you ssslowly..." The draugr whispered in Loki's ear again, tightening its grip around the small boys neck.
Loki let out another scream, biting down on the draugr's hand hard and shouting out.
"Thor! Thor! Brother!!" Loki screamed out, feeling his throat burn as it closed in on itself.
Relief...
Thor had heard Loki's screams, and stood up quickly looking for the direction of the voice. His eyes widened as he realised it was coming from the forest - that couldn't be good.
