Panic Attack

Steve and Bucky followed Hulk - who had Clint sitting on his shoulder, bow gripped tightly in hand - towards the HYDRA base, where (hopefully) Loki was being kept.

Tony, Natasha, Thor and 'Lady Sif' - also known as the Frost Giant King, Laufey - were in the HYDRA van that was following closely behind, trying to get Peter out.

The grim silence on Steve's comm told him everything he needed to know. They hadn't been able to get Peter out yet.

The HYDRA base loomed ominously at the end of the road, towering over the surrounding forest, looking grey and dull.

Hulk came to a stop once he reached the entrance to the building, Steve and Bucky coming to a stop just behind him.

The couple climbed off the motorbike and walked towards the entrance of the base, weighing their options.

"Should we wait for the others?" Clint asked, jumping down off of Hulk.

"No. We don't wait when someone's life is at stake." Bucky stated before ripping a chunk out of the wall.

"...Okay! Let's just go." Clint opened up his bow and put an explosive arrow in it, ready to take down any hostiles.

Steve, Bucky and Clint walked through the hole and Hulk ducked down to fit through, banging his head a little.

As they entered, several armed HYDRA agents jumped out of the shadows, about to rain fire on the small team.

Hulk roared, swiping them all away with his hand, causing the agents to smash into the roof.

"Puny men! No time for this." Hulk grumbled, kicking over pieces of machinery as he walked through the building.

"Hey, guys? I found something." Clint called out from down a lit corridor.

Steve and Bucky turned and ran towards where Clint was, Hulk stomping along behind them.

Clint had made his way through the HYDRA labs, finding a heavily fortified door hidden at the side.

"They didn't leave their labs locked up as much as this, so it's either Loki in there or some weird alien thing." Clint stated, eyeing the metal door.

"A 'weird alien thing' or the Jötun, you say? Same thing, valiant hero's." A Russian sounding voice came from above the men (and green monster), causing them all to look around in confusion.

"Who's there? Show yourself." Steve commanded.

"Would you look at that brother, he ordered us. Should we oblige?"

"Although it is good seeing them all so confused, I suppose we could do them this favour."

Two figures stepped into the light from an observation point above the hero's, one short and one tall.

Dmitri and Aleksei Kovalev.

Dmitri Kovalev was the one who had performed the experiment on Loki, and Aleksei was the one who lead the mission on which Peter was captured.

Both good at what they did, both lethal.

"I do love kicking Russian ass." Bucky jeered, not looking bothered at all by their now known presence.

"Hulk smash you!" Hulk roared, fists clenched.

"We'll do this all day if we have to to get our boys back." Steve took his shield off of his back, setting his feet into a fighting stance.

"No hesitation there, Dmitri! How brave and incredibly foolish." Aleksei smirked at the team standing below them.

"And so it begins, my dear brother. They chose the fight, we'll bring the fight."

I am so sorry for not updating for so long! School sucks, I've got so much revision to do for our end of term tests.

This chapter is quite short as the action starts in the next one.
