It had been almost thirty minutes that you had been walking with Jeff, which felt like eternity to be honest since you weren't exactly the most athletic and active person, but Jeff certainly was for all you knew, extremely at that. How could he possess such traits? It must have been in his nature for all you indicated, but then again, you just didn't know.

The question was, where he was taking you? Maybe somewhere boring and uninteresting, but you knew Jeff too well, so that was unlikely that'd he'd take you to such a place. Everything about Jeff was interesting and he knew what you liked and hated, so you figured you could trust him when it came to choosing locations to visit with him, but still, you kept thinking 'where are you taking me'? Yes, you really wanted to know since your curiosity was driving you crazy, almost insane to be precise, but you knew you'd know soon, surely it couldn't have been too far or was it.

He still tugged you behind him, maintaining a vice-like grip on your small, fragile wrist, not even thinking twice of loosening, or even letting you go. No, you didn't mind that he was pulling you behind him, you were just wanting to know where you were going, that was the main thing you focused on at the moment.

Sighing a little under your breath, unwanted thoughts came to your forever rational mind again about have feelings for Jeff. If looks could kill, Jeff was certainly doing already just that. You hated to admit this, but he really was attractive, and you seriously hated to think that way. Sometimes, you even wondered if this was just a phase or you were simply bored to think of such things, but deep down, you knew that it was something more. Along with the fact of how you felt towards him every time you hugged or held hands. At times, you even thought if he felt something towards you. Jeff was good at keeping his emotions hidden, maybe a little too well at that, but did he feel something for you? Obviously, there were no signs to tell, or it was too soon. Did you really like him, or was it physical attraction? The worse thing that could happen was that you would never stop having feelings for him and that they'd grow stronger and that-

"We're here." Jeff stated, coming to a halting stop, almost making you fall onto him, but you quickly caught your balance preventing that fall, plus you didn't want to look clumsy. At the moment, you looked around and analyzed your surroundings. It was a section in the forest for all you knew, but you had never been here, and you had to admit that it was rather beautiful. For all you knew, this seemed like an escape from the real world since it was private and on the outskirts of town, the best part was, was that it wasn't too far from your neighborhood, so transportation was easy to come here. Not too far from the both of you was a clean and clear stream, streaming through the creek with pleasure, the peaceful sounds of running water and birds chirping in the atmosphere and distance made everything felt nice, and yet relaxing. For all you knew, this place looked amazing and almost resembled something from a dream.
Stream

"What exactly is this place, I've never been here." You found yourself asking, being yet amazed and amused on why Jeff had brought you to such a place.

"It's a hidden stream and place I found the other day before I came to see you, my mom said to go explore the neighborhood, and I figured I'd show you."

Your eyes and mind danced with curiosity just at the sight of this place, and truth be told, it was unlike anything you had ever seen before - so pure and yet beautiful. "I never knew this place existed."

"That's because you don't go exploring." Jeff chuckled at your response, and it was true since you hated to run, and you even questioned on how he liked it, and truth be asked and told, how did he?

You scoffed intently at his comment, "Haha, very funny. You've always been the more adventurous type."
"Isn't that obvious," Jeff said, interested of your choice of words, his eyes twinkling in the little light seeping through the trees as a flock of birds flew through the air, their chirps echoing in the air making them know their existence. You honestly hated to admit that this place was rather nice to be at, maybe questioning Jeff about where he took you at times wasn't such a good idea since it was usually fun, and this was one of those times. Silence lingered between the both of you as your shifted and both sat down on the soft grass by the river, both pulling your knees into your chests, watching the water run by in bliss as the soothing sounds pierced your ears.

Looking over at Jeff, whose eyes were glued to the river, and looking out into the distance, you felt your heart flutter in your chest, a rather warm feeling inside you, feeling rather stronger than previous time. Your eyes widened and you quickly looked away, as a shiver went through you, why were you feeling this way? At the moment, you hated to admit it, but he was attractive, and yes it had been said plenty of times, but this time you were for sure. Okay, maybe he was attractive, but you still weren't sure if you liked him?

An intense silence lingered between the both of you, but not wanting it to go on, you broke it by saying, "It sure is beautiful."

Jeff fluttered his lashes a little, as he cocked his head down, for some reason he seemed mysterious for a mere minute. "You're beautiful." If it was possible you heard him mumble something, his voice being barely above a whisper, while he seemed to mutter the phrase.

That made you question something, even though you didn't here the direct phrase since it was too muffled and blurred, while being slurred in his voice. "What do you just say?" You asked, your voice calm, let alone sweet, but really you wanted to know what he said, and you knew he said something, you were stupid.

The dark haired male turned his head towards you, his pupils locking their gaze on you, being shocked that you asked him something, "Hm? Nothing?" He was so faking it and trying to cover it up.
At the moment, you rolled your eyes knowing he was being stubborn, and you knew he said something, that was for sure. With a determined will, you scooted closer to him, being barely an inch away, but you knew Jeff didn't mind since both of you didn't have boundaries with each other - that was normal since you both were very close; best friends to be exact and let alone precise. Putting a delicate hand on his shoulder, you said, "C'mon Jeff, what did you say that I can't know?"

The mentioned male sighed, "Nothing, just tired."

You knew he was lying. Obviously, he was trying to cover up something, but of course it was unknown to you to what he had mumbled previously, but you were positive he said something, otherwise you were hearing things, and clearly you weren't. Knowing Jeff didn't want to talk about it since you knew him too well, and at the moment his facade and blue eyes were reading 'I don't want to talk about it'. Sighing deeply, you stated, "Okay, should we be getting back. It's getting dark and I don't want to hear my mom giving me a lecture about my curfew.

Sadly, and if it was unfortunate enough it was starting to get dark, obviously the sun was setting. You honestly didn't want to leave or have the day end since Jeff was making you feel so happy, but at the same time you didn't want to hear your mother give you a lecture about coming home late. Sometimes, you hesitantly wished she would trust you, but sadly that wasn't going to happen and as of now, it wasn't time to think of future privileges.

Jeff retorted his attractive features into a frown and you obviously knew he hated to do such expressions, especially at you. "Fine. I guess we should. C'mon." With that said you both stood up and sooner than registered, Jeff latched hold of your wrist and quickly pulled you behind him. Simply trying to keep up with his fast pace you knew you'd be home in no time, and as always, you were hoping just that, wishing that the future of having your best friend around you again would prosper and yet become a dream far too amazing to be real, but as always there was a twist in tales. Especially yours, but at the moment it was kept secret, and you just hadn't expected nor took notice of any supposed signs of your future, or let alone Jeff's. As always they were expected to the best of futures, but sadly for you, the future was something rather sad and unbearable to live, you just didn't know that yet.
