I didn't want to disrespect Daisy either. She's a guest and she's his date. It's not my place to act on anything, especially not now. Not that I was going to anyway.

After the dinner, all of the guests began dispersing around the room to socialise and dance, and the atmosphere was amazing.
Everyone was happily partying together with laughter ringing around the room as I watched my older cousin enjoy the best day of her life.
"Come on Sky, lets go an dance!" Hailey smiled as she dragged me onto the dance floor where Leanne soon joined us.
Lucas's POV
Sky looked gorgeous.
When I sat down at the table, she took my breath away and I couldn't take my eyes off of her.
I know Daisy's my date, but I only asked her because I thought that Sky would be bringing Jake.
Daisy's a nice girl, but it's not the same. We're just friends.
I was a bit uneasy being sat at the table as Sky acted so coldly towards me. I wasn't sure why she was acting that way. It was weird and I was just hoping I hadn't upset her in any way.
When Hailey dragged her onto the dancefloor, she looked so happy and carefree, and it made me wonder if her mood change at the table was because of me.
The vibe between us had changed recently, and I wasn't sure if that was a good thing or bad. All I knew was that I've never felt the same way about anyone else as I do about Sky.
I finally realised that.
I've just been so hesitant. So reluctant. I didn't want to screw anything up.
Acting on my feelings could ruin my friendship with Sky if she doesn't feel the same, but it could also ruin it if she does.
Who am I kidding? Of course she doesn't feel the same.
I also didn't want to risk my friendship with Carter, so I was stuck between a rock and a hard place.
"Dude, what's going on?" I heard Ryan ask suddenly, jolting me from my thoughts as we were the only two left sat at the table.
"What do you mean?" I asked, not wanting to give anything away.
"You know what I mean." he said, sounding more intelligent than he had in a while as he took a sip of his drink.
"No, I don't Ry." I sighed, not wanting to get into an emotional talk with my twin brother right now.
"Why did you bring Daisy here?"
"Why did you bring Mandy?" I reciprocated.
"Because she's hot and knows how to have a good time. Your turn."
"Maybe I did the same." I shrugged.
"We both know that's not true Luke, that's just not the way you are. You'd much rather be alone than invite someone just for the sake of it. So why?"
"Has it not occurred to you that I may like this girl?" I asked purely out of curiosity.
"No, because you don't." he stated as if he knew it as a fact.
"And how would you know that?"
"I think you're forgetting that I'm your twin brother, Lucas. I know you better than you know yourself, so I want to know why you brought Daisy, because it's not like you to lead a girl on for no reason."
