As soon as the door bell rang, Emily darted for the door. I walked down the stairs behind her, it he door just came in view when Emily opens the door. A tall blond haired, blue eyed replica of Emily. His smile was huge when he saw her, he opened his arms wide for a hug when he saw her.
"dad!" Emily squealed and jumped into his embrace, he took her into his arms and spun her around. he kissed the top of her head as he put her down, i saw tears in both of their eye's. i decided that it was time to leave them to there own,not many people get to have that father daughter moment.
but right as i turned Emily called over to me, i turned back around and saw her waving me over. i smiled and walked back over.
"dad, this is Carson. she is the one that looked after me, this is my best friend" I smiled at what she said then put my hand out for him to shake.
"Mr. Granger, it's nice to finally meet you" he smiled at me.
"please, call me Robert." He smiled warmly. "I heard you were responsible for my daughter being here today" I nodded my head and he pulled me into a hug "thank you, it means the world to me that she's safe" he said pulling away.
"It was my pleasure, we are best friends now after all" I shrugged my shoulders
"That's right we are! And don't you even bother to forget it" she playfully scolded me. I laughed and pulled her into a hug.
"I gotta go Emily, but I'll be back. I just have to pick up Sam from the hospital"
"I thought they were going to keep him a jail for now?" She asked curiously.
"They know me, they think he will be fine here." I told her like it wasn't a big deal.
"We'll don't keep him waiting!!get him here ad out of that uncomfortable hospital"she smiled big at me. I nodded and headed for the door.
When I arrived at the hospital I checked in at the desk then went up to his room, after I knocked I heard a small 'come in'. I entered and saw that Sam was sitting upright in his bed, already dressed and ready to get out of here. He jumped out of his bed and did a fist pump when he saw me.
"Yes!!" He started doing a funny dance around the room, while singing "I'm leav'in, never to come back again" I just laughed and shook my head at him.
He came over and grabbed my hands, making me dance with him. We were twirling and jumping around the room, laughing the whole time until the doctor came in the room.
"I see your feeling great, here just sign these and he's free to go!" The doctor said with a smile on his face.
"Hmm, I don't know if I want him back though, maybe I will just leave him here?" I joked, Sam turned to me wide eyed. He grabbed my arm and got down on his knees.
"Please don't leave me!!! Take me with you!" He begged, shaking me and fake crying. I smiled down at him and then patted his head,
"Oh, all right. I guess I'll take him home"I said reaching the papers, Sam jumped up and hugged me before I could grab the pin, I started faking like I couldn't breath while he said 'thank you, thank you" over and over. "If you dot let me sign the papers, you won't be able to go home" I told him, he immediately dropped me and I laughed.
We were walking down to the car, a few nurses waved to Sam. I rolled my eyes at him and he just shrugged his shoulders with a smile on his face.
