Chapter 37

"Laura, what the hell?" Carter said, forcing her to come to a halt.

"Oh I have got to see this!" Leanne said a little too joyfully as she got out of her seat and rushed down the steps.

"Leanne! Lee...wait!" we called after her as we followed.

Suddenly we were just a few feet away from all of the drama that was unfolding, but luckily nobody seemed to have noticed us.

"Why have you got your filthy hands all over my man?" Laura accused, jumping to see Daisy over Carter's shoulder.

"Your man?" Daisy questioned.

"Yes my man, are you deaf as well as ugly?" Laura hit back.

"Woah, who the fuck do you think you are?" Carter defended. "We broke up, I am not your man."

"Yeah, but it was only like all the other times. We're going to get back together Carty, like we always do, and I don't want any other girls anywhere near you." she said.

"We are not getting back together Laura. Ever! How many times do I have to tell you that to get it through your head?" he said, clearly annoyed.

I looked over to see Daisy, who was obviously extremely uncomfortable and looked to be getting quite upset, and I stepped forward to get through to her.

"Sky, what are you doing?" Hailey whispered as I didn't bother to answer.

I walked down the last couple of steps and got behind Carter to where Daisy was stood, as he and Laura were still battling it out obliviously.

"Come sit with us." I whispered to Daisy, as she nodded, seeming overly grateful for my gesture.

"Are they always this intense?" she asked quietly.

"Kind of, yes, but I promise he isn't normally like this." I said as we began to walk up the steps.

"Hey! Where do you think you're going, you little slut?" Laura shouted, manoeuvring herself around Carter to get closer to the two of us.

"Laura, do not speak to her like that." Carter defended, walking after her.

"She's coming with us to get away from you, you psycho." I said before Daisy could answer.

"Who do you think you're calling a psycho, bitch?"

"Laura, just stop! You just called my girl a slut, and my sister a bitch. Do you seriously think I want to date you?"

"Your girl?" Laura said, her face filling with rage.

"Your girl?" Daisy repeated a little breathlessly.

"Your girl?!" The girls and I said, not being able to hide our amusement at this entire situation.

"Shit. No! I did not mean-" Carter stammered in panic, embarrassment completely flushing his face as he turned to Daisy apologetically.

"Urgh!" Laura screamed dramatically as she turned on her heel and strutted off in fury.

"Dramatic much, Jesus Christ." Leanne said from the side-lines, her face scrunched in annoyance at Laura's actions.

"Daisy, I did not mean to say that. It just slipped out and I didn't mean it like that! You're not my girl...you are a girl...and I just meant- because I like you- and you said you'd date me and...wow I am digging a hole for myself right now, and I need to shut up before I say more stupid things." he rambled in panic.

"Oh no, please keep going." I laughed in amusement at my brother as he gave me the biggest death stare.

"Carter, it's okay." Daisy laughed gently as she stepped down to get closer to him. "I mean it's only been, what? A few days since we met? So that is going a little fast, but I know what you meant. And seeing as I have already agreed to go on a date with you, and I have started to like you, then maybe one day...I will be your girl. In the future. After getting to know you much better. "
