"That sounds good to me." Carter said with a wide smile.

"Woah, I didn't even know he had dimples!" Hailey whispered over to me in surprise at the rare showing of his real smile.

Daisy stepped forward and wrapped her arms around Carter to hug him as he returned the gesture.

This was the first time I'd ever seen my brother so smitten. It was weird...and kind of gross. But also cute. I was rooting for the two of them.

"Eastwood! Come on, the whole team's waiting for you over here!" Coach suddenly shouted from the field as Carter made an 'Oh shoot, I forgot' look.

"I'll text you later." Daisy smiled as he smirked at her before throwing his helmet on and running onto the field.

"Aww!" Hailey cooed from behind me as Daisy turned to us.

"Don't tell him I said this, but he's really cute." Daisy said, smiling to herself with slight blush in her cheeks.

"Ew." I said automatically, initiating a few laughs.

"Thanks for looking out for me there Sky." She said as we all walked back to our seats.

"Of course, it's the least I could do." I said.

"Well, I really appreciate it. Laura is not the nicest person."

"You don't need to tell us that. We've been putting up with her for far too long." Leanne said.

"Yeah, I know the feeling." Daisy sighed.

"I didn't realise you knew each other that well." Hailey said.

"We don't anymore." she explained. "But we used to be best friends in middle school, before she became a completely different person and started bullying me for my weight."

"Oh my god, that's so horrible!" I said.

"Yeah, you don't need to worry about your weight at all! Your figure is to die for!" Hailey added.

"Thanks guys, I've always been a pretty confident person regarding my appearance. I used to be much bigger, but it didn't bother me until Laura started pointing it out everyday. That's when I hit the gym, got on a diet and well...here we are." she smiled sadly.

"I'm so sorry she did that to you." I said, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder.

"Thanks. I don't think weight is anything to be ashamed of, but I am much happier and more confident now. I just make sure to steer clear of Laura whenever I can, which I guess won't be that easy anymore if I'm pursuing her ex-boyfriend..." she said.

"Don't worry about her, something new will be occupying her by next week and Carter won't let her do anything to you. Neither will we." Leanne explained.

"You guys are really sweet, thank you."

"You're one of us now." Hailey laughed.

"Oh my gosh, I almost forgot!" Daisy said suddenly. "Sky, how're things going with Lucas?"

"Oh, they're actually really good." I smiled bashfully. "I'm really sorry if I stepped on your toes at all, I was meaning to talk to you at the wedding but you were..."

"Already pre-occupied, yeah, sorry about that." she laughed. "Your brother and I just got on so well. But don't worry about me at all! I'm so happy that Lucas told you everything and that you guys are happy together now."

"You know what they say, everything happens for a reason." I replied.

"It certainly does." she replied.

"Why is everyone in a happy relationship except for me?" Hailey asked, clearly offended.

"Don't worry Hun, I'm sure you'll find someone soon." Leanne said to comfort her, rubbing her shoulder.

"I hope so. Jamie and Hope are like my parents, you and Nick are practically married, Lucas and Sky basically dry hump each other every time they're anywhere within a 2 mile radius of each other-"

"Hey!" I yelled defensively.

"And now even Carter has a new girl!" she continued. "Sorry...soon-to-be-new-girl." she corrected as Daisy laughed at her words.

"Me and Lucas do not-" I began again before she interrupted me once more.

"What is it with Eastwood's? It takes you like a week to find someone new! I've been waiting 16 years!" she complained.

"Hailey, you will find someone when you least expect it." Leanne laughed. "I'm sure they're just around the corner."

"I wish." she huffed. "Maybe I'll just have to be the single rich Aunt to all of your kids."

"Trust me, you will be waiting a hell of a long time for that." I laughed. "You will certainly have found someone by then."

"Whatever." she sighed dramatically.
