Empty words

I found Ponyboy and Johnny already sat down.they stood up when they saw me

"Where were you?" Ponyboy asked his eyes analysing something behind me

I gazed back to see Carl exiting the barn and I just shook my head at ponyboy. I'd tell him later.

We eventually settled down as it began but I couldn't focus on any of it however, I could have sworn there was a split second where dally looked up and made eye contact with me.

God I was loosing it.

I didn't even realise it was was over until Pony nudged my shoulder.

I looked up and noticed almost everyone had already left or was making there way out but I didn't really wanna leave yet so I just grinned at him

"I'll catch you later yeah?"

He frowned at me but sighed "see ya round,"

When he was gone I got up from the bleachers and walked down the steps til I reached the bottom and leaned up against the fence.

Most the riders were still there putting away their horses but I knew exactly who I'd stayed to see.

Fortunately he knew too because he walked over to me as soon as he spotted me

"Alright?" He nodded at me

I nodded back and shuffled my feet,not knowing where to go from here.

Fortunately he took the lead "You heard of the party near bucks?"

I nodded, the abandoned garage behind bucks seemed to be what everyone thought do as the ideal Place to piss around and news of a party travels pretty fast round' here

He leant closer to me and grinned "well imma be there later,"

I knew what is was initiating but I didn't wanna seem to desperate "huh,maybe I'll check it out,"

That seemed to be enough to satisfy him but as we walked out together I had to keep convincing myself I wasn't doing this in a romantic way.

I wasn't 12 anymore, I had no attraction to Dally whatsoever, wanting someone to choke you was was just a basic human need.

God, what the fuck was I doing with my life.
