Chapter 15

Reece

I'm really worried for Percy and Annabeth. My new mates Jason and Piper told me and Lacey what was going on. As soon as we arrived everyone was nice and kind. We all felt welcomed, especially Lacey, she finds it hard moving from one place to another.

"So your saying this is your make shift camp? Your real one is back in New York?" Lacey and piper hit it off immediately. So did me and Jason. We had allot of things in common.

"Hey do you mind if i take Lacey for a bit?" I turned on my signature smile and Piper said yes. I grabbed Lacey's hand and headed for the small river. She was giggling.

"Reece what are you doing?" I just turned on the charm and just told her to follow. We walked along the bank until we got close to the destination. I moved behind Lace and covered her eyes with my hands.

"Reece!" She was laughing and falling. "You know i hate suprises!"

"Trust me you'll love this one," I whispered in her ear. She carried on smiling but kept quiet. When we got to our destination i stopped her. "You ready?" I whispered again, she giggled and nodded. I removed my hands and she gasped at what she saw.

Right infront of us was a picnic all layed out. It was under a tree, and hanging on the treee where dim fairy lights. It took me and a few others ages but once it was done i was very pleased. I waited for Lacey to say something.

"Its just like our first date! The exact same spot!" She turned to me tears in her eyes. "You remembered!" I took mer hands in mine and looked deep in to her honey coloured eyes.

"Hwo could i forget, it was the night i fell in love with you." He brushed a strand of hair away from her face and kissed her. I'm such a soppy child a Hades! But at the moment i didn't care, i had the love of my life in my arms and nothing could be better!

"Shall we eat?" I asked.

"Defo!" Just then i heard her stomache growl and i laugh. For a little girl Lacey eats like a trooper! She'll put any man to shame with her eating ability. I watched her as she tucked into the chips and other food i brought along. I just laughed and started eating.

"What?!" Lacey looked up and i crcked up. She looked like  chipmunk with her cheeks stuffed with food nd her wide eyes looking t me. I had to grab my stomach as i felt a stitch coming on. "What!"

"No-no-nothing!" I said through fits of laughter. "You look like a golden chipmunck!" tears were streaming down my face. She swallowed and laughed with me. We were like that until i heard a twig snap. I instantly bolted up right and signalled for LAcey to stop. She looked at me weird ut obeyed.

"Whats wrong?" She whispered. I didn't know but i got the feeling we were being watched. I turned to Lacey my expression serious. From the sound of it, I guess theres only one person.

"Lace i need you to run back to camp and get Percy and Jason," She was about to ask why but i stopped her. "Don't ask Lace just please do it?" She odded and ran off. I grabbed my neckless and it grew to a life size sword. The sword blade was celestial bronze. It had an incription on the side saying 'Fight to the End' in ancient greek. The handle was ivory with black dimonds encrusted on them. It wasn't fancy but i loved it. It was giving to me by Lacey.

I got to my feet and got ready to fight. I made sure i could see behind me so i piveted on my foot. Where are you? Show yourself! As if on cue a figure emerged from the trees. I couldn't se him but his silhouette seemed familiar.

"What do you wan!" My voice was hard and cold. The figure didn't say anything he just kept on wlking towards me. I saw a blade in his hands.

"Payback!" I could finally see his face and i was shocked.

"No....."

Lacey POV

"PERCY! JASON!" I was screaming at the top of my lungs. I saw them run towards me.

"Lacey whas wrong!?" They both said in union. They both looked at me with concern. More people joined them. I saw some one push their way to the front. My best friend Brianna burst through the crowd to get to me.

"Lace! You ok I heard you shouting!" She looked at me with so much concern. Brianna has brown hair and eyes to match. She was a child of Athena and had that intense, no it all glare every child of Athena has.

"Yeah I'm ok! Its Reece! He heard some one coming and told me to get you guys!"

"Lacey it could be nothing i mean-" I cut Percy off.

"You don't get it! When Reece gets a gut feeling he's always right! Isn't he Bri?!" She nodded.

"I've knwn him most of my life and he is always correct." I saw Percy think. Then nodded.

"Ok Lacey." He turned and called five other names. "Come on lets go!"

"Bri you coming?" I asked. truth be told i would love it if she was there it made me feel sane.

"Hell Yeah!" She unsheathed her sword and walked with us. I've always loved her sword. Of course it was celestial bronze but the hilt was amazing!  It was red and looked like fire! When ever she fights it looks like she's holding fire.

We ran back to where i left Reece. But he wasn't there. The only thing in his place was blood!
