Chapter 26

Rachel

I just stood there as i watched Percy charge. I winced at the clashing of metal on metal. My grip tightened on the Bow. I can't watch this but i need to, so i know when the time is right. A hand grabbed my shoulders and i swung.

Behind me was a very cute guy. His hair was medium length and dangled over his dark chocolate brown eyes, they had a glint to them. His perfect square jaw was disheveled and rugged. His lips were pink and full..... Stop it Rachel! Your the Oracle! You can't date! My mind was metally yelling at me. But looking at this guy now i wouldn't mind breaking the rules for him!

"Um.. Are you.... Rachel?" He stammered out. I saw him blush and look down. Damn he's cute!

"Uh......" Nice one Rachel! Speak! "Yeah..... You must be Mick?" He looked up wide eyed.

"Percy told you about me!?" I nodded, the heat rising to my face. "What he say?" I told him exactly what Percy told me. He listened with such intensity that the features of his tanned face stood out. Your drooling! I turned and wiped the little trickle of drool. He turned to me, his gaze softening.

"Too bad your the Oracle, your so pretty!" I blushed horribly and looked at my feet.

"Umm... Thank you..." I mumbled a smile creeping on my face. It disspeared when i heard a shout. I looked up and breathed a sigh of relief. Dameon just got a thwack from Percy.

"So when do we go?" Mick asked, his eyes on the fight. He winced and cheered at several places. I just smiled and shook my head, considering soon we're going to be running for our lives. He looked at me questionally.

"What?" He raised a eyebrow.

"Nothing....." I smiled. "Its just...." I saw something head our way. "LOOK OUT!" I tackled Mick with all my might. A sword came flying over where Micks head was less than a second ago. He stared wide eyed. We landed with a thud, me landing on top of Mick.

We were so close that i could feel his shallow breath. He looked at me and his eyes adverted to my lips. Getting self conscience i bit my bottom lip and looked away. Get up Rachel! I made the mistake of looking him in the eyes again. This time we leaned in. CODE RED! CODE FREAKING RED! My mind was screaming. I wanted to pull away but i couldn't. We were centimeters apart slowly closing the gap. His lips brushed against mine ready to set the kiss when BANG!

We jumped up, our hearts beating. We looked over at Percy and Dameon and they both were lying on the floor. A massive crater was inbetween them. We looked at each other, not sure what went on, then blushed. I can't believe we almost kissed. I was about to say something when i felt a droplet.

Mick must've felt something too as he was just as confused as me. Then more followed. It was raining but not raining. Soon we were drenched. My hair was plastered down my back and my face. The little mascara i had on was running down my face. My tattered jeans and tee was soaked and clung to my body, outlining my figure. I looked at Mick and saw him stare intensly at me. I blushed and noticed he was just as drenched as me.

His hair clung at his forehead and nose. His black tee was clinging to his gorgeous abs. I couldn't peel my eyes away from him. He was just too stunning. He smirked as he saw me staring.

"Like what you see?" He laughed at my expression. I was about to say something when i heard my name.

"RACHEL!" I spun and saw Percy standing by the crater which was now filled with water. "GO!" I was about to grab Mick when i stopped. I can't just leave him.

"NOT WITH OUT YOU!" The rogues where sturring. We didn't have long.

"YOU NEEED TO DO THIS! GO RACHEL!" He lifted his hands and i felt a deep rumble. Theres a river under us! He's going to kill everyone here if he brings this up!

"YOU'LL KILL YOURSELF IF YOU DO THIS!" Wind was whipping my hair around. Hurricane!

"PERCY-" My eyes started to well up.

"RACHEL IN ABOUT ONE MINUTE THIS PLACE WILL BE UNDER RUBBLE! I NEED YOU TO GET FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN WITH THE BOW!" I started shaking my head.

"MICK! TAKE HER! NOW!" And with that chaos broke loose.

Annabeth POV

 I felt a deep rumbling. I was just regaining  my ability to walk, when the rumble came and threatened to topple me. I gripped the side of myy bed and held on as the rumbling continued for two more minutes. Just when i thought it was getting the hang of walking again and the shaking stops i let go, then fell as a after shock came.

"WILL! WHATS GOING ON!" I shouted as i face planted the floor. I looked up and saw Will stumble in.

"I DON'T KNOW! LAST TIME WE FELT SOMETHING LIKE THIS WAS....." He trailed off. I looked at him wide eyed.

"Percy...." We whispered but could still hear eachother. More people burst through the door.

Brianna, Lacey, Reece, Thalia, Nico and the gang all wobbled in. They all looked worried and panicked. I knew they knew.

"WHAT IS THIS A SOCIAL GATHERING!" I winced and was blinded by pain. I was still on the floor, no way was i trying to get up again. The pain faded from my eyes and i only saw stars they they dissapeared.

"WHERES PERCY?!" Thalia screeched. She was holding on for her dear life.

"IF I KNEW I WOULDN'T BE HERE WOULD I!" What a stupid question coming from her!

"WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO ANNABETH!?" Brianna asked, her eyes showed fear. I tried to think of an answer but nothing came.

"Nothing...." I said, they all looked at me, wided eyed.

"WHAT!?" They all said in unison. I just stared at them.

"Theres nothing we can do... we just have to wait and hope for the best...." They all nodded grimly. Last time this happened Percy was in hospital for three months, he almost died. If this doesn't die down soon, then it might happen again.

I closed my eyes and prayed. I prayed for the safety of my campers and the safety of Percy and that he comes back to me. I opened my eyes and looked at everyone. The rumbling dieing down abit.

"All we can do is sit and wait for it to stop.... and pray for the best..." They all nodded and closed their eyes praying to their godly parent.

I just hope they hear our prayers and answer them...
