More Than Meets the Eye || TXT (Yeonbin, Taegyu)

Hello everyone! I'm back with another update! I wrote this chapter kind of quickly, because ... finals. So, it may not be the best chapter, but I don't think y'all are ready. Something will be revealed this chapter that can't be missed!!! So, I hope you enjoy it! =^_^=

"Did you want anything else? I really don't mind."

Soobin whispered to Yeonjun as they were looking through the store's selection of room decorations. In the past week, both of the boys had come to the store multiple times, usually leaving with one or two new items for Yeonjun's new room. Yeonjun looked around one more time before turning towards Soobin.

"No, I really don't need anything else. I just like getting away from campus."

Ever since Soobin had figured out how to get Yeonjun outside of the invisible barrier, they've been taking trip after trip away from campus. Soobin just made sure to have relatively fresh batteries in his electronic incense to be sure that it continued to "burn" for however long they were out. Soobin was just happy to see a smile bloom on Yeonjun's face every time they'd go somewhere Yeonjun hadn't been to in a long time.

Soobin still had a couple finals before the semester was finished, but he felt ahead enough in his work and studies to make time to go out more often. Even though he wouldn't admit it out loud, seeing Yeonjun looking so genuinely happy only made him want to go out more often.

"Okay, we'll just go with this."

Soobin had a small basket filled with a new poster for Yeonjun's room and a fake plant, since Yeonjun had no way to water it himself. Soobin also had a couple food items in the basket, trying to do some grocery shopping since they were out already.

After checking out, both of them moved out of the store. Yeonjun knew that Soobin was still self-conscious of talking to him when in crowded areas, so he didn't speak up until they were closer to the bus stop that would bring them back to campus.

"That was fun! Thanks for taking me away from campus. I know you have exams and schoolwork to do but ... it means a lot."

"It's no problem at all, really. I'd hate to be cramped in that dorm all day, every day. It's only fair to take you out, especially since we can leave campus now."

Soobin could only hear Yeonjun giggle in response. When he looked towards the boy, Yeonjun had his one hand covering his stomach and the other covering his mouth, as if he was trying to hold back his laughter.

"So ... you're taking me out now, huh?"

Soobin's face immediately reddened, his cheeks heating up as he realized what he had just said. He looked towards his feet, his fingers finding purchase in his shirt as he continued to become more and more flustered.

"You ... You know that's not what I meant. I-I ..."

"Calm down. I'm just poking fun, I promise." Yeonjun continued to laugh slightly as Soobin's face remained as red as a tomato. When Yeonjun noticed Soobin's hands still playing with his shirt, his smile faded into a look of concern. "Soobin, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable or anything. Sorry if I did."

"N-No! You didn't." The words came out a little louder than anticipated, a couple people looking in Soobin's direction before looking away. "I just need to lighten up."
