About an hour and a half later, you were pulling up to the address of the hotel Chris was staying at. Before you even put the car in park, he bounds out of the lobby and practically jumps into the passenger seat. You chuckle and quickly start driving out of there, thinking that he was running from some paparazzi or something.

"I'm so excited," Chris admits after a few moments of silence. You glance at him from the corner of your eye. He was bouncing his leg, smiling, and staring all around your car. It looked, dare you say, like this man was nervous. "Did I just say that out loud? Shit. Wait...I am excited I just wasn't expecting...I'm just going to shut up now."

"No, it's cute." You reply before turning onto a country road, taking you guys away from the city. Chris watches as you physically grow happier the further you got from the busy streets. The way your shoulders relaxed, the easy smile on your lips, and the extra movement to the songs on the radio. He knew you loved the city, you'd told him a few times, but it was obvious that you loved it out there too. Being away from people was always a huge plus.

"You're not taking me into the woods to kidnap and murder me, are you?" Chris attempts to joke. You roll your eyes and push his shoulder, making sure to keep one hand on the wheel just in case you hit a pothole or something.

"Seriously? If I was doing that, you'd know." You scoff back. "And I'd have my best friend with me, we do that shit together."

"Thanks for the heads up." Chris laughs. "Remind me to make a note to never be with you two alone, again."

"Like you could get rid of us that easily." You joke back.

Minutes later, you're pulling off the main road and onto a small dirt path. It was barely big enough for your car to pass through and the trees on either side covered you guys perfectly. No one from the road would be able to see you and you wouldn't be able to see them. You guessed that's why Chris had made that joke, it did seem like you were trying to lure him away.

Eventually, the trees break and you park the car in the little clearing. After turning it off, you hop out and grab the backpack, containing lunch, from the backseat. Chris silently follows as you lead him to another path, this time much smaller than the one you'd just driven on.

The trees covered you from the sun and cast shadows over the two of you as you walked side by side. Chris, when you weren't looking at him, was looking at you and when he wasn't looking, you'd look at him. It was like a small game, neither of you really knowing how to break the peaceful silence. Well, that is until Chris's curiosity got the better of him.

"So, where are we going?" He demands, his arms swinging back and forth. "I really think this is a murder plot, are you mad that I accused you of cheating?"

"Ha!" You shake your heads. "It bruised my ego but I'll live...and so will you."

"Reassuring." He replies. You guys walk together for a little longer before you grab his arm and lead him down a much smaller path. It looked like it wasn't used as much but you had been on it so many times that you knew the way like the back of your hand.

You both walk in silence for a few seconds before the path breaks out into a clearing. Chris stops in his tracks to take in the sight in front of him as you take out the blanket from your backpack. You spread it out and quickly start grabbing the different things you'd packed for lunch.

"Wow." Chris breathes, his eyes taking in the beautiful sights before him. You'd taken him to a place called 'Big Eagle Overlook'. You had the perfect spot to look over the city and the countryside spread out below you. Chris had to admit, to himself obviously not you, that this first date was going to be hard to beat.

By the time he turned around to face you, you had the perfect setup for lunch. You had sandwiches, fruit platters, wraps, an assortment of chips, and your famous chocolate chip peanut butter bars. Sure, you'd gone a little overboard but you honestly hadn't known what the hell this man ate! So you might've had a small mental breakdown in the kitchen that morning.

"Sorry." You sheepishly chuckle from your kneeling position on the blanket. "I might've gone a little crazy."

"I can't believe I'm about to say this." Chris shakes his head as he joins you on the blanket. "I think it's going to be kinda hard to top this."

You both turn to look over the edge of the cliff, the smile growing on your face. "I come up here a lot when I need to think. Not many people know about this little trail off the main one, so it's really easy to avoid people."

"I can see why you like it then." He jokes back before reaching for one of the sandwiches that you'd made. You smile back at him and reach for one as well.

For the next couple of hours, you two got to know one another. Telling stories about your college experience, your family, friends, and whatever else he wanted to know. Chris told you stories of his time on movie sets, his family, friends, and any other questions you had. Before you'd known it, it was almost dinner time. You hadn't even realized that you'd been there for so long, just enjoying the moment with Chris.

"No, that didn't happen!" Chris laughs while clutching his bicep. As the two of you laughed together, neither of you noticed how close you were getting to one another. All at once, you both stop laughing and stare into one another's eyes.

You were so close that you swore he could hear your heart beating. Slowly, Chris places his hand on your cheek, pulling you closer to his face. He pauses for a second as if asking you for your permission. You lick your bottom lip and carefully nod your head. Chris chuckles before slamming his lips onto yours.

You move closer, trying to deepen the kiss, and he pulls you onto his lap. A chuckle escapes your lips as you both finally pull away to catch your breaths. "Wow." You whisper as he tucks a piece of hair behind your ear. "Glad I can actually remember what that feels like."

"Don't worry, there will be plenty more where that came from," Chris smirks while placing a kiss on your forehead. "If you'll let me."

"I promise, I'm not going to stop you." You assure while wrapping your arms around his neck. "You're going to have one hell of a hard time trying to top this for date number two."
