You decided, after a long car ride, that you'd force your friend to swear their silence. You realized that you didn't want this getting out, even though you were way past high school rumors would still spread fast. Sure, everyone had sex once in a while in college but you didn't want word getting out about your experience. You also didn't want to put Chris in that position, not that it would ever get to him and you didn't know him personally, you just felt that it was the right thing to do.
"Y/N?" Your best friend groans while looking up from their textbook.
"Hm?" You reply, still not fully paying attention to what they were saying. You and a few friends had gathered in your apartment to study for a couple of exams that were coming up and you all decided it was safer than going out like you did last week. You still hadn't told the majority of your friends how you spent the rest of your night and you really weren't planning to.
"Are you even listening?" B/F cries while slapping their book shut.
"No." You honestly answer.
"I was telling you about (Some person they like from class)! They were totally checking me out!" B/F whines. "And let me tell you...you're not listening again!"
"Sorry." You apologize. You hadn't been able to concentrate since your evening with Chris, he was all you could think about! "My mind has been...occupied."
"Yeah, no kidding." They scoff. "You haven't been the same since we celebrated, I'm actually getting worried about you!"
"She's fine!" Your other friend rolls her eyes while smirking at you. "She's just thinking about that night."
"What happened that night?" B/F demands. "I remember we went to the club, drank together, and then you disappeared!"
"I don't know what you're talking about." You shrug, suddenly becoming very interested in biology. "I was back here!"
"You and (the friend that picked you up) came back that morning!" B/F argues. "So where were you Y/L/N (Your last name) and no shit, you hear me?!"
"I was with a guy, okay?!" You shout while slamming the book. "I slept with a guy that night and (friend) picked me up!"
"And you didn't tell me?!" B/F screams. "I'm your best friend! I should know before everyone else! I should know when you know!"
"When I know?" You raise an eyebrow.
"I'm trying to make a point, shut up." They hiss. "Who was it? Mike from biology?"
"Why does everyone assume that I slept with him?!" You demand. "What the actual fuck you guys?"
"He has a thing for you." Your other friend shrugs. "We just...assumed."
"I'm never speaking to any of you, ever again." You announce before moving back to your book. "Don't even look at me."
"How dare you." B/F gasps. "You can't pull the silent card."
"I can and did." You reply while flipping the page even though you hadn't registered a thing.
"You son of a-"
A knock on the apartment door cuts your B/F off, plunging the room into silence. None of you were expecting anyone, especially on a Wednesday afternoon. No one had ordered food, your neighbors were away, and the mail wasn't supposed to be delivered till four.
With a sigh, you push back from the table and cross the room to the door. The entire way, you feel everyone's gazes on your back, all curious to learn who's at the door, but B/F's gaze was the most prominent. They were still upset that the conversation had been cut short.
You pull open the door with a sigh of annoyance, you really had to study for this class. "Sorry, we're not interest..." You trail off as your eyes widen in surprise.
Never in a million years would you have thought this moment would happen. You couldn't have even dreamed about something like this!
There, standing with a smirk on your doorstep, was Chris Evans himself. Though he was wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses, you could recognize him anywhere, but that wasn't the most surprising part. No, you weren't just surprised by Chris Evans knocking on your door, it was the fact that he had your underwear hanging off the edge of his finger as he leaned against the doorframe.
"You don't understand how hard it was to find you." He finally speaks after noticing that you were in no condition to do so.
"Y-y-y-ou." You stutter, your gaze switching between his face and your underwear.
"Sorry to show up like this but you didn't leave a number or anything." Chris shakes his head. "And normally, I don't do this but...there's just...look at you."
"Thank you?" You clear your throat.
"Something happened last week and if you didn't feel anything, tell me to go right now," Chris orders. "But if you did, please give me the chance to take you out for real. I know we started backward but...what?"
You realize that your mouth was hanging out and quickly fix your expression. Chris-mother-freaking-Evans was asking you out on a date! You can hear your friends shuffle behind you, most likely trying to hear the conversation.
"Me?" You finally demand after realizing you hadn't given him an answer. "You want me?"
"Yeah, is that a problem?" He demands while raising his eyebrow, a smirk plastered on his face. "I can always come back later."
"No, yeah, sure, I mean..." You sigh and rub your temples. "Sure, Chris, I would love to go on a date with you."
