Somewhere In The Midwest Region Of The United States

(Y/N): [sighs]

(We pan down to see Y/N chopping some wood with an axe.)

*CHOP*

(Y/N): *wipes some sweat from his forehead* Nat did offer to get the firewood herself but...

*CHOP*

(Y/N): I need the workout. Considering that we are somewhat retired. [scoffs] "Retired." What does that even mean?

*CHOP*

(Y/N places the axe down.)

(Y/N): Why can't I use my claws again? Oh, yeah.

(Y/N does his best Natasha impression.)

(Y/N): "Your claws will get dull."

*SKINT*

(Y/N pops his claws & looks at them.)

(Y/N): Would they get dull? I've never thought about it.

(Y/N retracts his claws, picks up the axe, & goes back to chopping wood.)

(Y/N): Besides, I'm about willing to do anything to take my mind off...

(Y/N thinks about Laura.)

(Y/N): [sighs] Now that I think about it, Nat probably wanted to get the firewood for the exact same reason.

(With that, Y/N puts the firewood he's chopped up in a bag & makes his way back to the...)

The Maximoff Household

(Y/N walks inside & places the bag of firewood down.)

Natasha: About time.

(Y/N): [chuckles] I didn't realize I was out there for that long.

(Natasha walks up to her husband.)

Natasha: You weren't. I'm just saying.

(Y/N): Ha, of course you were.

Natasha: *smiles*

(Y/N): Hey, Nat.

Natasha: Killer?

(Y/N): Are you okay?

Natasha: Why are you asking?

(Y/N): What? Can't a husband ask his wife if she's okay from time to time?

Natasha: Hmm.

(Y/N): That wasn't very convincing, was it?

Natasha: Not at all.

(Natasha & Y/N are now eye to eye.)

Natasha: [sighs] Killer.

(Y/N): What?

Natasha: Are you asking me if I'm okay because of what happened in Westview with your sister and our daughter?

(Y/N): Guilty.

Natasha: I appreciate you asking. I really do. But I'm okay.

(Y/N): Promise?

(Natasha kisses Y/N.)

Natasha: Promise.

(Y/N): *smiles* Good.

Natasha: Now, take a shower. You smell.
