Hearing a high pitched, buzzing noise fill my ears, I groan, before sitting up, clutching my ears tightly. That annoying ass alarm clock would be the death of me, if nothing else.
Using the force to switch the alarm clock off, I sigh, letting my face collapse back into my pillow. I thank the force briefly, before I pull myself back up out of bed, yawning.
Peering around the room I was in, I realized I was in a hotel. Or, what was left of one. The freezing cold room just barely gave me shelter, the cracks in the metal walls allowing bugs to seep through, my rat buddies huddling over in the corner in attempts to stay warm.
"Eugh, guess the Jedi really are privileged aren't they...?" I groan, wincing at the sudden burst of pain in my forehead.
Bringing a head to my temple, I rub it gently, feeling another burst of pain.
"Great..." I groan.
Well, I better get on the move.
If I stay here for too long it will spell trouble. I need to leave. Get back on my feet. I'm sure there's tones of businesses looking for jobs. I could handle the dirty work no one else has the skills for. I could become a bounty hunter, or something along this lines. Seems like a job I'd ace.
Gripping my satchel tight, I leave the room, flipping the girl at the desk a credit before leaving, might not be a tone of money, but by the looks of the place, she didn't need much Anyways.
Bouncing from building top to building top, I scout the iron buildings and streets, trash blowing in the corners as the unhappy people bustle by. I never realized how shit the downtown was, everytime I came down here it was for a chase, Or something of that caliber, so I never took a notice...
But everyone and everything was shit.
It was so sad, that the credits went towards the Jedi and the politicians.
Even if the Jedi tried to give up the money, the politicians wouldn't allow them, as the Jedi only control so much. And the politicians, though they are practically dripping with gold on there bodies, still love to stuff their pockets for their own satisfaction. It made my blood boil, when the peoples houses down here weren't even worth as much as the ring on one politicians finger.
One of the many problems with the republic...
Now, I'm not bashing the republic. In theory, it was a perfect system. Probably one of the best we could have thought of. But because there are people involved, human beings and other humanoids; living, breathing people with free will, there will be mistakes and errors. And form those mistakes and errors greed will grow and spread, and suddenly, like a wild fire or a major disease, the whole republic is in shambles, the system ruined.
It wasn't hard.
With humans and humanoids ruling it.
After several hours of traveling, I finally found a sign that interested me. In the mid levels of coruscant, I saw a small shop like building, a red sign at the entrance. The bounty hunter symbol...
The official bounty hunting group of the galexy had a symbol, two circles with a line down the center. Simple, but meaningful. I knew I'd get a job there, I was skilled enough.
Hopping off the building I was at and landing harshly on the concrete in front of the building, I pushed the glass door open, hearing the chime of the door above me.
"Glemx bounty huntin' plex, what can I do for you-"
"Damn, what's a fine lady doin in here?" The man asked, the scruff on his chin making me want to barf. There was nothing appealing about him, from the dirt and grime on his three chins, to the greasy hair that he wore like a mop on the top of his head. This man would need a knife to his throat, wouldn't he?
