If you saw the chapters after this previously, no you didn't. ;)

And if you did, (no you didn't.) and didn't reread last chapter, chapter fifteen, please do. I rewrote most of it, so it would be neifical if you reread it :)

"Theo?"

A voice wrung out in the air, but I couldn't tell who's it was. It was definitely a male voice, but that's all i could make out. It did feel... familiar in a way though, the force signature of the man radiated warmth, belonging, as if I knew him somewhere... familiarity. That's what this mad radiated.

I try to open my eyes, but I can't. They are too heavy and it's as if I have no control over my lids at all. I'm shrouded by the darkness that has followed me all my life, this time it being literal.

I try to move, move anything... twitch my fingers, wiggle my toes... open my eyes! Anything would be amazing, but alas, of course, I could move nothing. Isn't that hoe it always went? Whenever you desperately want something it's out right in front of you, but you can just barely not grasp it. You can feel the hook at the tips of your fingers, you can feel yourself reach out and just barely graze it, but you cannot grab it.

I try

And try

And try

And try for what feels like hours. I can hear the man conversing with someone else above me, but I can't make out the words. It could have been minutes, or even seconds, but I finally opened my eyes after what felt like hours of struggling.

With my kids fluttering open, I'm greeted by a blinding light. When my eyes settle however, I see a distressing sight.

Smoke filled the air and made me scrunch up my nose, fiddling with my sight a bit. It nipped at my eyes, but I kept them open. Above me, was a familiar face indeed. Captain Rex.

I saw his back turned to me, he was conversing with someone else.

Sitting up, I groan, immediately snapping Rex's attention over to me. He quickly kneels down, helping me up to a sitting position

"Easy Theo..." he mumbled softly, causing me to groan in response

"What exactly happened?"I questioned, causing him to sigh, pressing his lips into a firm straight line.

"You crashed." He stated, causing me to scoff

"Really, thank you for this ground breaking information." I snarked back, causing him to smirk at me

I look around, noticing Ashoka was not here.

"Where's Ashoka?" I ask, causing him to step out of my main vision and gesture towards the figure.

Ahh, so that was Ashoka.

I couldn't get a good view with Rex's broad fork in the way, but now that I, looking, I couldn't misplace those togruta lekkus anywhere.

She wore a dark gray, almost brown looking cloak; the hood overtop so her Lekkus points poked into it, forming two bumps. It flowed down to around her ankles, flowing in the crisp, cold, heavy wind that flowed through the air. She was string down at sticks in the ground... sticks with helmets ontop... memorials. Memorials for the fallen clones that had died on that cruiser, that had died on my hands.

"Ashoka, we need to go." Rex stated firmly as he looked at her, his tone soft and patient. As much as he wanted to mourn his fallen brothers, he knew the Empire would be hit on their trail. They would come and look for Ashoka, being a Jedi, or... ex Jedi, and they would come looking for me as well.

We where all vulnerable people now, with the fall of the republic something much darker than any war would arise; the Empire.

We all knew this wouldn't end well, we could all tell by the worried looks we sent eachother, and the uncertainty that hung in the air. Hru with one final look back at the graves, Ashoka had made the decision to put everything she once tried to put behind her, behind her again. The republic was no more; it was gone, crumbled to our feet, dead weight. Just like the Jedi order was.

We where now just force sensitives with laser swords. We had no home, no place of belonging, no objective. The only thing that hung in our head was to stay alive, much like the other citizens had worked hard for long before we had.

Life was going to be a lot harder from here on out...

I can just tell.

Ik this is pretty basic but I'm still trying to decide wtf to do with this story... uh... Yeha sorry if this isn't very good idk what I'm doing. I'll work it out, I'm thinking of plans rn
