Chapter 58 - Harry | Escape

Start from the beginning

He was so close to me that it would now be easy to just grab him and snap his neck. I bit the tip of my tongue and pulled at the restraints, but to no avail. "You can't get these ties off, Isaac is an expert at it," he told me and I huffed in annoyance.

"Can you finally get to the point?" I barked at him, whereupon he started to chuckle. "Calm down, we have all the time in the world. Or do you have something important to do?" he asked, amused. But I didn't feel like laughing, I just wanted to kill him.

This day was already shitty enough, I don't need another pompous idiot who thinks he's the king of the world, who ruins it for me even more.

"You know why you're here." he then said firmly and I arched an eyebrow. "No."

Kaiden lashed out and gave me such a strong right hook with his fist that my ears began to ring. "Liar!" he yelled loudly and I could already feel the bruises on my face, his ring cut my cheek and I felt the blood flowing down.

"If there's one thing I hate, it's lies." he said in a shaky voice. He was so furious that he could hardly calm down again. "So let's try this one more time shall we?" he asked with one eye twitching. "You know why you're here and-"

"No, I don't."

Before I could register his movement he hit me another time, even harder and I bit my tongue in the process, immediately feeling the blood in my mouth. At least he hadn't broken my nose.

"You arrogant asshole, stop lying." he hissed through clenched teeth. Immediately he struck a third time and I saw white flicker before my eyes. "You don't remember him?" he asked, breathing heavily and with a crazed look.

I spat blood on the floor and when our eyes met I was the one grinning cheekily at him while he was wide-eyed like a complete psychopath, expecting an answer. "Who do you want me to remember?" I then asked cluelessly and with a hint of provocation.

A frustrated squeal left his throat and he ran his hand wildly through his hair. Immediately he took another swing and now hit me on the other side of the face. My jaw cracked dangerously under his blow and one half of my face is already numb.

I know I'm provoking him with my answers and that's my goal, but I really have no idea what he means or who he means at all. It's funny to see him freak out like that. But my face can't stand it for a long time.

"You know it, after all, you killed him!" he roared, the veins on his neck clearly standing out and he was even shaking with rage. I leaned back a little further, a grin plastering my lips, bleeding from several small wounds.

"I really have no idea who the hell you're talking about," I then said seriously. "This is all just a big joke to you, isn't it?" he asked, grunting as he stepped closer to me. I shrugged my shoulders, unconcerned, then leaned forward a little so I could get closer to his face.

"I don't know who I'm supposed to have killed, but I'm pretty sure he was as insignificant as his death."

Kaiden's eyes widened and he glared angrily at me. "Son of a bitch!" he hissed. "You're going to regret saying that."

I started chuckling darkly, because I couldn't care less what he was doing to me. "And what are you going to do?" I snorted, amused.
