Ink's POV
I stared at the professor as she spoke about the unit of calculus. My eyes were heavy but I tried my best to stay awake. The best solution was to aimlessly doodle in my notebook.
Error sat next to me, looking down at his book while writing notes. I didn't have the will to look at him just because I was soulbroken. A black tear rolled down my ink stained cheek. I shook my head after realizing that I was on the verge of crying.
'Pull it together, Ink.'
I pulled my brown scarf up before continuing my doodles.
The lesson dragged for what seemed like hours, that is until the professor finally announced that class was dismissed. I gathered my belongings and left the room without Error. However, my best friend was still able to catch up with me.
Error: Why didn't you wait for me, Ink?
I shrugged. Regret quickly grew inside of me when I saw the slight sadness in Error's eyes. Despite the fact that I was trying avoid him, Error still had my soul.
Listening to the sounds of the campus, we walked to our next class. Everything was peaceful but it was ruined by an all too familiar voice, Martina.
The tanned woman smiled as she approached us. I grimaced but turned away so she wouldn't see my face. It was difficult to hide my expression however, I was good at acting.
Turning my head back to Error and Marina, I saw that the female had her hands on my crush's chest. My fist clenched and I blinked to keep the black tears in.
Martina: Hi Error.
Error: Martina!
He said with a smile.
Error: I'm sure you remember my friend Ink.
My name being caused me to lift my head up. A fake smile appeared on my face so she wouldn't see that I disliked her.
Martina: Of course I do.
She held out her hand to me. I took it before shaking hands with her.
Martina: It's a pleasure to officially meet you.
I nodded to essentially say that I was glad as well, even though I wasn't. Martina looked at Error once more, wrapping her arms around his waist. My facade wavered a little.
Martina: There's going to be a party at the female dormitory tonight. A lot of people are going to be there. Would you and Ink like to come?
Error: I don't know, Martina. Ink has extremely bad social anxiety.
Martina: Oh, okay. Well just think about it.
She walked off, leaving Error and I alone. I snapped my fingers so I catch Error's attention. I raised my hands so I could start talking.
Me: "You can go."
Error: I won't go unless you want to, Ink. We do everything together, that's what friends do.
I felt my soul break inside.
'Yeah... friends.'
Me: "We can go."
I said before walking away, Error following close behind. The air was filled with the sound of students talking with one another. Error and I were the only ones who weren't saying anything.
(Time Skip)
The dorm was silent, just the faint noise of my pencil rubbing against the blank paper of my sketchbook. The lines slowly formed together to create a picture. The drawing of me and Error kissing. This was something that Error could never see.
