"Alright, ready to study?" I ask as I step out of Jeff's bathroom now in my PJs
"You expect us to study with you wearing that?" Jeff asks with a seductive smirk as he steps over to me
"Wearing what?" I ask innocently as I look up into his blue ords
"You know what, Princess." He says lowly as he attaches his lips to my neck causing me to let out a quiet moan
"Stop it, we have to study." I say with a playful smile as I wiggle out of grasp
"Ugh!" He groans with a smile as he free falls onto his bed causing me to let out a laugh before he sits up and smiles at me
"What?" I ask as I calm down
"I am so in love with your laugh." He says as I think of the story his mom told me in the hospital
"What? What'd I say?" He asks
"Nothing. Your mom--she-- she told me this story while you were in the hospital. That's all. Let's study, Mister." I say with a smile before sitting down beside him and opening up the history book
*30 Minutes Later*
"Okay, which president wrote the Declaration of Independence?" I ask
"Um...Thomas Washington?" He says but it comes out as more of a question
"No, Jeffrey!" I squeal as I plop my upper half down on the bed
"I'm sorry. It's just hard to concentrate when my girlfriend looks this fucking gorgeous. It's easier to study with Clay cause he doesn't look this good in one of my shirts." He says with a smile
"Okay, but you have to get this stuff or you can't play baseball. And Clay is-- he's goin' through some shit, so you're stuck with me." I say
"Okay, but can we take, like, a quick break?" He asks with a smirk before I toss the History book aside and nod my head eagerly
-The Next Evening-
"You have more points and more rebounds than Justin. I dunno why you're not the captain." Mom says from the kitchen as Zach sneakily takes the Brussel sprouts from mine and May's plates and puts them on his own
"Well, that's not how they choose captain, Mom. Besides, I don't even wanna be captain." Zach says
"You're the best player." May says
"Sure are." I say with a smile
"That's right. That's what matters." Mom says as she walks back over to the table and Zach's phone vibrates
"Justin's just...he's just going through some stuff. He'll be back." Zach says before my phone buzzes and I see it's Justin texting me
