You and May have been dating for a long time. It was hard at first, you always had feelings for the calvary but she was shut off it was nearly impossible to have a conversation that wasn't about the mission. But one day, when captured by HIVE, May came to save you and you both began to talk. You found out about the girl and understood why she felt so guilty. You also told her about your life and how it wasn't easy for you either. You spent hours in your room just having a heart-to-heart with her. From that day, you and her had casual chats whether it was about the mission, Mack's terrible taste in food or shipping FitzSimmons together, you were both getting closer. One night, both you and Daisy were drinking and lazing around in the common room of the base. You laid your head on her shoulder while laughing about random stuff. You both were exhausted after the mission but neither of you wanted to sleep.

"So...you and May...are quite close," Daisy said and you hummed in response.

"Yeah,"

"Do you like her?"

"No,"

"Oh-"

"I love her," you admitted, sipping from your glass. "And...I have for a long while," Daisy smirked.

"When are you going to tell her?" You laughed loudly at Daisy's question.

"You want me to tell May...MELINDA MAY...that I have feelings for her? You're living in a fantasy," You and Daisy both chuckled, not realising May was listening to that conversation.

Days turn into weeks and weeks turn into months. You noticed how May seemed much closer to you. She began making jokes and wanted to become your S.O, considering you never had one.

"C'mon Agent," She says while you lay on the mats, exhausted from the training she gave you.

"May...you're killing me," You commented before she helped you to your feet. Without even thinking, she pulled you closer to her and pressed her lips on yours. Your eyes widened in shock before you responded, your hands moving to tangle in her hair. You whined when she pulled away but you looked to see her beaming at you. SHE WAS SMILING.

"I...I love you," She whispered.

"I love you too," You responded before you both clashed together for another kiss.

So, that's how your relationship started with her. AND HOLY CRAP SHE IS PROTECTIVE AF. If looks could kill, she has probably killed hundreds of people that just look at you. A lot of the times if you were out in public and she saw someone looking at you suggestively, she would bring you close to her and kiss you passionately. You knew she was insecure and scared, she doesn't let many people in, but when she does, she is so afraid for them to go.
