Let Her Go

Klaudia was really starting to get worried.  Melissa had not come home yet.  She wasn't worried about Sarah, knowing exactly where she was at right now.  Somewhere with Kakashi and she couldn't be safer than that.  Melissa though... She paced away from the window and nervously worried her lower lip between her thumb and forefinger.  She had to go look for her but where to even start?  She needed help.  She grabbed her key and went out the door then down to the main level.  She had been home for two hours and it was now way past any reasonable time for Melissa to come back home.

Madam Soto was heading towards her rooms in the back and Klaudia hesitated before calling out to her.  "I'm sorry to bother you but... do you know how I might be able to get ahold of Konahamaru or Kakashi?"

Her brows went up, "What's wrong dear?"

"Melissa has never come home from looking for a job," Klaudia told her.  "I know Sarah was here and left again but Melissa hasn't been back since this morning."

"Oh that is something for concern.  I do happen to know where they both live.  I would think that you should be able to catch one of them.  They're Shinobi and should be able to track her down quicker than you will."  She scribbled the addresses on the paper and gave it to her.  "Now go girl, before it gets any later.  I hope the girl is fine."

"Me too," Klaudia said as she ran out the door.

Klaudia looked at her map and between the two addresses, Kakashi's place was closer.  Sarah might want to kill her, if things were going the way she thought they probably were, but this was an emergency.  She was almost running to get to the address and she gave a relieved sigh as she caught sight of Sarah first then Kakashi.  She winced a bit as she saw the way he was holding her wrist.

"Sarah!  We've got a problem!" she called out as she ran up to her.

Kakashi's eyes  narrowed slightly as Sarah pulled free of his grip.  "What's wrong?"

"Melissa..." she said breathing hard from her run.  "She hasn't come home yet."

Sarah was shocked at the words, especially as she took in the darkness surrounding them.  Her and Kakashi had lingered a bit at the Hot Springs, to the point that they almost broke the taboo after all.  It had taken quite a bit of willpower to separate finally and get dressed to go back to his place.  Kakashi had been almost running holding her wrist as they made their way back to his apartment.

"Oh no... Damn it, there is no way she's still out looking for a job!"

Kakashi gave a heavy sigh, realizing his plans were now null and void.  He put his hands on his hips as he looked at the younger woman, "Do you have any idea where she was looking in the city?"

"No," both women answered.

Sarah looked to him with big, pleading eyes.  "We went our separate ways, thinking we'd have better luck by ourselves.  We have to find her."

Kakashi gave a long sigh, "Okay.  Think... get into her mind.  Which way did she start out?"

"She was heading towards the mountain," Klaudia said.

He shifted his glance, "She went to the new part of the Leaf.  She probably was thinking that with all the new businesses and houses, that there would be more possible openings that way."

"I was there earlier... with Konahamaru," Klaudia felt her face flush, especially when his brow raised but he didn't say anything.  "I didn't see her when we were walking around."

"We can try to back track her, someone had to have seen her.  That hair of hers stands out quite a bit.  No one in the Leaf  has that color of hair."
