A Shift Between Dimensions

Five Years Later...

Sarah, Klaudia, and Melissa sat back in their lounge chairs with drinks in their hands.  All three of them were enjoying the warm weather as well as watching their children, playing in the pool that Yamato had made a few years before, with their father's.  It was a rare day that all three men were free and that the three families were able to spend a day together.

Strider, Sebastian, Levi and Luna were playing chicken in the water.  Sebastian was on top of Levi's shoulders while Luna was on top of Strider's.  Their squeals and laughter were so loud as Luna tried to shove Sebastian off her brother's shoulders that all three of the women were laughing.  The four were inseparable and despite being a girl, Luna played just as hard as the two boys.  They had all started the Academy the year before and were all excelling.

As they had expected, Strider was a mini version of his father in coloring and form.  Sarah almost felt like she had very little to do with his genetic code.  Sebastian had also taken after his father a lot except for the color of his eyes, they were the same blue-green of his mothers and quite striking for a boy.  The twins shared the dark hair of their mother and father but their eyes were both a brilliant blue.

Iruka was keeping a watchful eye on the four of them as their playfulness could often turn into an all out brawl from time to time.  He was also the only one with a free set of hands in case he needed to grab and arm or two.  He was grinning as he watched them and the sight of her husband's warm smile made Melissa's heart flutter as always.

Konahamaru was sitting on a ledge with their youngest child, Sakuna.  The boy was only two years old and already just as rambunctious as his older siblings.  He looked like he wanted to spring off his father's lap and into the chicken fight with the other kids.  He had his mother's dark eyes and hair but his features were all Konahamaru.

Sarah smiled softly as she watched her husband, talking so seriously with their daughter, Phoenix.  She had been an unexpected bonus.  She was only a year old, which was why it was so cute watching him talk to her.  She could only imagine what he was saying to her but the little girl was staring up at him with eyes wide, taking it all in.  She had his hair but her eyes.  She looked away from him and down to the warm body on her chest.  Her middle son, Obito, was snuggled against her.  His hair was blond like hers had been as a child but his eyes were the same gray as his father's.  He even had the little mole beneath his lips like his father.  She rubbed his back, enjoying the fact that he had decided to use her as a pillow.

She looked up as she felt Kakashi's eyes on her.  The look he was giving her was the same look he had given her when he had joined her in the Hot Springs.  She knew once they got home and the kids were otherwise occupied, she was in for a good time.

"Sarah, I told you recently I'm glad you had that crazy ass idea to go to the suicide forest haven't I?" Melissa asked her from her right.

"Yes, you have," Sarah said smugly.

Klaudia chuckled then leaned forward with her drink, "To adventures."

Melissa and Sarah clinked their glasses together with hers while chorusing, "To adventures"
