Mikey's Twin

Chapter 32

"Come on. Don't be shy. We don't bite. Twin sister of Bonten's leader~" They said staring at my body as my sleeping outfit was a bit revealing due to the summer heat.

"You can eat this." I snarled as I pulled the trigger on the grenade in my hands and threw it at them, ducking under the kitchen counter.

"What the hell is that explosion?!" I heard more yells outside as I grabbed a few more grenades and knives and ran to my room and nearly fall but I caught myself, Kuro ran beside me the whole time.

"Everything's going to be alright." I whispered to my son in my stomach. "Mommy's going to make sure you live and your father will dote on you a lot." Suddenly I felt a twinge of pain in my stomach as sweat pulsed on my forehead.

I punched in the password at Baji's desk as the bookshelves turned to reveal our secret room as I ran in and punched in more passwords to get into the fortified room at the very back.

"Baji, please pick up." I prayed as I called for him through the phone as I sat on one of the beds in the fortified room and a coppery smell made its way to my nose.

I peered down only to see my bloody footprints leading to this fortified room as I tried to not panic. The blood was coming from between my legs.

"No no no." I muttered not believing what was about to come as Baji finally picks my call. Kuro licks my arm to comfort me as I heaved a sign of relief.

"Baji where are you?" I called desperately to my husband.

"There's blood flowing from between my legs and I'm under attack now. Please come home." I cried as I was having a mood swing now.

"Maria what?" I hear Mikey through the phone.

"I'll come get you now!"

"I want Baji too, please." I begged, I haven't seen or talked to him in so long.

Whenever I wake up, the spot next to me on our bed will be cold like he was never there. I know he's busy with Bonten business but I wish he would talk and spend more time with me.

Especially when I'm pregnant and don't have much time yet.

"Maria I can't, he's dead." Mikey says as I nearly drop my phone.

"What?"

"Shit! I'll come over to your house now!" And just like that, Mikey shuts the call and I sat in the room with the pool of blood slowly growing on the bed.

My phone was buzzing again as I see Fuyuka calling for me. I laid on the bed as I felt tired from the pain, I was sweating so much.

"Maria where are you?" She calls desperately as I felt dizzy from the blood lost. "There's a hidden room past many doors behind the bookshelf in my room. I'm in there." I groaned out.

"Are you alright?"

"No, please help me, there's so much blood." I whimpered as the smell made me sick, I gave her the passwords as within 5 minutes, she rammed open the door and sees me.

"Maria!" She yells as she scoops me up and carries me, when was she so strong?

The world faded in colors as I dropped the katana I was gripping onto and I heard a commotion.

"Hurry!" Mikey's face appeared in my vision for a moment as Rindo's face appears. He was patting dry my forehead as Ran covers me up with his suit.

"Baji's dead?" I whispered to them as Ran and Rindo avoids eye contact.

I turned my head weakly to see Sanzu sitting beside my brother as I blacked out.

3rd person POV

"Hurry the hell up!" Fuyuka yells at the limousine driver as he speeds the car up.

Maria had just gone unconscious in her arms as Rindo who was next to her holds Maria's limp hand gently, as if hoping she'll live.

Just now, right after Mikey was about to leave, Baji's phone rang so Mikey picked it up to see Maria calling as he picked the call only to get the horrendous message.

He stares intensely at his twin who was lying on one of his few female subordinate's lap.

As they reached the hospital, he made his mind up as his twin was wheeled into the emergency room while Ran fiddles with his hands.

"Giving birth early...." Sanzu mutters as Mikey's eyes slid to him, Baji and Maria's cat was sitting in his hands calmly, but it's yellow eyes were wide and vigilant.

Sanzu was going to say something more but didn't say it. It was the one question they're all thinking of.

If Maria and the child would make it.

After what seemed to be ages, the doctor walks out of the room but Mikey drags the doctor away to speak to him.

"Is the child and mother alive?" His tired eyes stares into the doctor's worn out ones.

"Both? Yes. And has Manchiro told you that she doesn't have long to live?" The doctor asks Mikey as he was about to leave but stops.

"What?"
