"Waiting is painful.
Forgetting is painful.
But not knowing what to do is the worst kind of suffering."~~~~~~
All Xiao could think at the moment was how weak he was. He had promised. He had made a promise to protect you yet he wasn't able to. Yet he lost you to the enemy.
"Y/n," he screamed in anguish.
With his heart broken, his mind in shambles, and his sanity disappearing, an aura of karmic residue grew around him. To him, you had been his light, the one that saved and rescued him. With you gone, all he could think of was how useless and weak he was. All this time, you had been the one saving him and helping him - even though at points, you had never even realized it - yet all he had done was made things harder for you.
His eyes grew dark and the grip on his spear tightened. How was one supposed to react when the one that you liked was taken from you?
Xiao growled, his voice growing deeper as all logic was seemingly sucked from him. With you gone once again, he had nothing that kept him chained to the world. With you gone, he had nothing to live for.
It was all his fault for him being to weak.
"Y/n," he sobbed.
Running forward, his yaksha mask appeared in front of him covering his now tear-stained face. His karmic aura continued to grow thicker as it surrounded him.
One by one, he broke the shields of the abyss mages and quickly killed them off. All he had on his mind was to kill the mages off and quickly find you. He had to rescue you no matter the cost.
The moment that he had felt a new aura appear earlier before you were taken, he had checked to see how you were faring. To his surprise, the aura had taken shape and appeared right behind you. Appearing from a purple portal, Xiao vaguely recalled who it was that had kidnapped you.
It was none other than an Abyss Herald, one of the strongest enemies in the Abyss.
All Xiao could do was shout your name as he was quite exhausted from his ongoing fight with the abyss mages. Right before his eyes, you had disappeared unconscious into the dark purple portal - the abyss herald carrying you - which held a world unknown to him.
Now here he was, fighting off the abyss mages, quickly killing the ones that had kept him from you.
The man was lost in thought and regret. He didn't know what to do.
He failed.
He had failed.
He failed to save you and protect you.
He wasn't able to keep his word.
"Die," Xiao growled, his power flowing from him.
He was lost in a world of darkness that continued to coat him the moment that the spark of light disappeared from the yaksha's view. How had he survived the last hundreds of years without you when right now being separated from you was killing him in the inside?
"Xiao!" Aether shouted, trying to get the attention of the angered adeptus.
The traveler had put up a boulder to defend him from the powerful winds that the adeptus was unknowingly releasing. However, the power that came from Xiao continued to grow and Aether was doubtful that he makeshift barrier would hold. If he wanted to survive, he needed to bring the adeptus back to reality.
