A/N: 5. And. A. Half. THOUSAND GODSDAMNED READS?!? WHAT THE HELL?!? And I know that it's been a long time since I last updated. I am so sorry that this story wasn't updated for a long while. I really do want to apologize for that.

Let's get right to it!

Edit: I forgot about the photo yet again. Here's a Bifurcatops though

"There's something out there man." Slivko tells Hank.

"Oh, there's a lot out there." Hank replies, nodding his head towards Slivko. "Now come on. We gotta get home. You don't wanna be out here at night." He chuckles.

"Yeah, I say less talkin' more walkin' 'fore we end up as dinner for a ginormous Carver (an actual beast from Skull Island. I looked it up) that doesn't like us very much. I mean, those things get between 25 and 33 feet long. Don't wanna mess with those." I giggle while following the silent people out. I notice that no one is following behind me. "What?" I ask.

"(Y/n), how did you know that?" Mr. Brooks asks me.

"Mythology was something I loved learning about and I guess a bunch of the information just stuck with me. I do hope that the Gribblers went extinct though, otherwise getting through the waters might be a little bit tough." I smirk at the thought of these people facing a Carver or a Gribbler. "Although finding a Bifurcatops would be really fun." I add on, walking away as some jaws drop *cough* James *cough* *cough* Mr. Brooks *cough*.

~Timeskip brought to you by... screw it just me, your lonely Giraffe~

"You probably noticed a lot of weird things on this island." Hank starts. "as long as we stay here where the people live, we'll be alright."

We all turn to the wall. "That wall, is that supposed to keep out that thing?" Mason asks Hank.

"No." Hank shakes his head. "He's not the one they're trying to keep out." Hank walks away.

"James." I whisper as we follow him. "What does he mean?"

He shakes his head. "I have no clue. Aren't you supposed to be the mythology expert?" He questions.

"Yes but mythology isn't a lot of help when I have nothing to go off of!" I panic.

"(Y/n), we'll all be fine. Don't worry. I'll get us out of here alive." He smiles down at me.

"These people live up on top of the trees while we're down on the roots." Hank says. Ok, rude. "Some of them don't even seem to age." We continue walking around the village while Hank continues talking to us. "There's no crime, no personal property. They're past all that."

"Sounds like a paradise." I comment. Hank holds his arms out as we stop in front of two people whose markings are blue instead of oarage/yellow like all of the other people we have seen.

There's an odd moment of silence before the leaders bow and Hank bows followed by two 'Thank you's. The leaders turn to me and smile and I smile back before they walk away.

"Ms. (Y/n), you must be magic. They never smiled, at least in my knowledge, until you got here." Hank says to me.

"It's not magic. I guess I just give off a good vibe?"

"So, good news. They say you can shack up here." Hank tells us, ignoring me. I lean on James as we walk behind Hank some more. Victor pulls ahead of us.

"I didn't hear them say anything." James questions.

"Oh, they don't speak too much. When you've been here as long as I have, you start to understand. You'll see. I bet this one could get them to talk though." He says, looking back and pointing at me and smiling before turning back forward again.

"Wait a minute." Victor complains, getting in front of Hank and stopping all of us from moving. I roll my eyes and start to fall asleep while Victor is jabbering on until James pokes me in the side waking me right up. Ass.

"Nieves, now is not the time. All right?" James asks/says while putting one arm in front of Victor and the other around my waist. It's probably just to make sure I don't faceplant when I fall asleep but it still makes my face heat up at the contact.

"What lands here tends to stay here." Hank speaks up which isn't exactly helping.

"Yeah, not a big help Hank."

~Another timeskip~

We're in front of a big ship now with the faded letters that spell 'Wanderer' on the side of it. "As far as I can tell, this ship washed up about 10 years before I did."

"You've been here since '44?" Mason asks.

"Yeah. Hey, what happened with the war? Did we win?" He asks.

"Which one?" Slivko asks back.

Hank ducks under some metal on the boat. "Uh-huh. That makes sense." We all duck under the same piece of metal as him. "This is all hallowed ground to them. So if you like your hands, don't touch anything."

James immediately goes to grab both of my hands in one of his. I mean, I can't imagine why.

Flashback

"What would happen if I poked his cheek?" I ask the guy next to me.

"(Y/n), no." James tells me.

"(Y/n), yes."

~

"This puddle looks cool. Imma touch it."

James steers me away. "(Y/n), no touching things that could potentially be toxic." He scolds.

"But why?"

Flashback end

Yep. No clue as to why.
