After recently joining the Crystal Gems you had been staying at the temple, sleeping on the couch as you didn't have many places to stay at Beach City.

It was nice enough, but you'd be up to take suggestions to move somewhere else close by.

You were slouched down on the couch, just having woken up from a pleasant slumber. It was pretty peaceful before...

"Y/N!" Steven yelled joyfully bursting through the temple door.

"AHH! O-oh Steven! Jeez you scared me!" You laughed off and pat Steven's head as he came to sit with you on the couch.

"Sorry about that, but I had an amazing idea just now!" He exclaimed with a wide grin.

"Oh, go on. I'm listening."

Steven turned to face his body towards you. "Well~ you know how you've been wanting a place to stay?"

You nodded slowly, squinting your eyes at Steven, wondering what he's about to suggest.

"And you know how you've not met Peridot and Lapis yet?"

"Mhmmm?" You hummed and nodded again in increasing curiosity.

"I asked if they'd be willing to let you stay at the barn and they said yes!" Steven cheered, raising his arms in the air.

Your eyes widened in realisation as Steven's words sunk in. "Alright! That's awesome! When do we go?" You asked, grinning all the while.

"Right now!"

"Right now?"

"Right now!!!!!" Steven shouted happily as he stood up and grabbed your hand, pulling you over to the warp pad.

With a raise of Steven's arms the beam of light soon engulfed the two of you, as you were blasted off into a field.

You glanced around quickly to see some actually pretty relaxing scenery. There were long stretches of warm green grass and nice clear skies above, you could also see Beach City from here!

"Over there!" Steven said as he pointed a finger at a barn in the distance.

You two made your way over to the barn, with you trying to calm your mind as you did so.

"Alright Y/n, you got this. You've met the other gems and they were chill. If Steven's friends with them, you can be too!" You thought before being cut off with a loud...

"Steven!!!" You hear a high pitched, squeaky voice call out from above.

You look up only to see a flash of green as a small gem had seemingly jumped down from atop the truck embedded in the side of the barn. "Oomf!" The green gem lets out a groan as they quickly stand to their feet.

Steven laughed at the green gem while you... you stood there in awe. You hadn't noticed it but a blush had covered your cheeks as you looked the gem up and down.

The gem was adorably small, green and had large, triangular blond hair. Her face was cute too... big beautiful eyes, a tiny nose... your thoughts trailed off.

"Steven, I think this human is broken..." Peridot observed as she stared at you with squinted eyes.

"Y/n? Y/n~!" Steven said, close to your ears. "Ah! Oh um I'm so sorry, I was just... uhm caught up in my thoughts... for a sec" You responded in a quiet tone.

You stook out your hand towards the green gem, but the gem did not reciprocate this gesture. Leaving you just standing there awkwardly, holding your arm out in Peridot's face.
