Rim of the World ~ Gabriel x OC

We heard the others coming back and we quickly got up.

We got on our bikes and went to go find someone.

"How is your watch still working after the pulse?" Zhenzhen asked.

"It's not electronic, it's mechanical." Alex answered while Dariush complemented his biking skills.

"It was my dad's. He uh..." Alex started. "Gave it to you?" Zhenzhen asked.

"Yea he gave it to me."

It was all quiet til these military trucks passed by us so quickly we got off our bikes and tried to stop them.

We couldn't stop the trucks but were stopped by these military men behind us.

"Kids! Kids!" One Guy said.

"You should've evacuated hours ago. We're at war." The same guy said.

"Sir, We were in the mountains when the attack started. Can we you tell us what's going on? How big is the attack?" Alex asked.

"Did it reached the nations finest Mercedes dealership?" Dariush asked. "Dude what-."
"No my dad owns it. I'm the future heir to that shit."

"All I can tell you is that you are not safe here. Everyone on the bus right now. I'll take you to the evacuation center." He started to walk off.

We all quickly stopped him and told him about the key. " you need to take this key to Pasadena." alex said to the soldier.

"Where'd you get this?". he asked. "An astronaut from the space station gave it to us. She said to take it to JPL. What's on that key can stop the aliens. You need to get that to JPL in Pasadena to a Dr. Fielding." We all said to him.

"We've been receiving Morse code from a Dr. fielding at JPL all day. Finding this key has been the primary objective, thanks kid. You may have just save the world. We'll take it from here."

I got so happy I went straight to Gabriel and gave him a hug while walking to the bus. ZhenZhen sat in front with Alex across from her. Dariush sat behind ZhenZhen and me and Gabriel sat together behind Alex.

It was all fun and games til a spaceship starting shooting at the cars. Explosions everywhere, then a car fell on top of the bus and the bus driver got stuck.

We managed to get out by the exit door and run. We were screaming and yelling and we found the soldier that we gave the key to.

"Pick this up with me."
"What are you doing?" The soldier said. "You gotta get out of here." He continued.
"We're gonna get you out"

"Stop, you gotta go. You have to go."

Alex kept trying to get him out but he gave us the key and we ran.
