We kept running and it felt like we were never gonna stop but we all slowed down to catch our breath.

"Oh, shit. I told you that was a stupid idea. You idiots almost got me killed. I don't even want to be at summer camp. I should be in Cabo taking jelly shots of someone's ass cheeks. Slow down. Slow down." Dariush complained.

"What do you think these things are after?" Z asked. "Food maybe? Resources?" I said. "It's possible their planet went dry and they came to raid ours." Alex said.

"What gives you that idea?" Dariush asked. "Nothing it's the most common invasion movie plot." Alex said. " maybe they're here to find mates. That would explain the erotic rendezvous with dariush earlier." I said.

I turned to Gabriel and realized he looked a little off. I pulled him away from the others. I grabbed his hand and asked him if he was okay.

He paused for a moment. "It's my street"

"Great. Can we go in your house?" Everyone turned to us. "It's my house, but it's not my home. I haven't been totally honest with you guys." He looked at me and then turned to everyone else.

"I was in the mountains because I was in Juvie. And I escaped. So even if my mom is here she's not gonna wanna see me." He finished. I grabbed his arm and laid on his shoulder as we walked.

As we were walking we passed these clothing racks and a jet flew over us so we hid.

"What the hell was that?"

We went in his house and it was totaled. Trash was everywhere, the furniture was moved and there was broken glass on the floor.

"All right, let's find something to eat okay. Man I need a T-bone steak, some cheese eggs and Welches grapes." Dariush said as he walked into the kitchen.

Alex and Z went to go find something I don't know what though.

We laid down in the living room and started eating.

"I shouldn't have hit you." Gabriel said to dariush. " I don't know. I'm good, bro. I mean it doesn't hurt as much as seeing all this gunk on my new J's." He replied. I shook my head.

"How do you care about sneakers in a time like this?" I asked. " you know what? You guys are lucky. You don't have friends." Me and Z looked at each other. " it's hard out here for a pimp, you know? Got to keep up with the flyest shit, you know, the dopest kicks . Tightest whip, baddest chick."

" does Dariush mean "douche bag" in Farsi?" Alex asked. "What's Farsi?" Dariush asked.

"It's the language your mom was screaming when you were coming out of her ass." Alex responded.

We all laughed. " hey, don't talk about my moms ass. All right. You wish you were there."

"No offense, dude, those don't sound like friends." Gabriel said.

A spaceship flew by and Gabriel grabbed my thigh. I didn't notice until it went away. He didn't move it though.

"Hey how did you even end up in jail?" I asked Gabriel. "if you don't mind me asking, I know you like to keep your secrets secret." Gabriel shook his head.

"I'm so sorry about that I just got really defensive and I didn't mean for that to sound rude."
