"This is not like her." Lynn voiced, head in her hands as she stared at the message sent by her daughter. "Where did she go ? Why couldn't she tell me about it ? We could have talked about it-"

"Lynn, calm down sweetie." The elder interrupted her, a gentle hand falling on her daughter in law's shoulder. "I'm sure she is fine, okay ?" She reassured softly, a sad smile on her lips marked by time.

The woman sat quiet, processing what she had read. She knew (Y/n), gosh she knew her like the back of her very hand. Her daughter wouldn't have left like that, without talking about it first, without trying to sort things out. This just wasn't like her to disappear with a text. They told each other everything, were closer than any mother and daughter. This just didn't make sense.

Had she been too suffocating as a mother ? Did she do something wrong ?

She stood up, legs of her chair scraping against the wooden floor as she seized her phone and composed a number. If someone knew about her daughter's whereabouts it would be them.

"I'm calling her friends. They'll know if something is wrong." She voiced, bringing the phone to her ear. And to her relief it wasn't long before the white haired male picked up.

"Hello, Lynn ! Is there something I can help you with ?" Haku greeted politely, placing his philosophy book down on the coffee table. He leaned back on the couch, hand patting Plato's head.

It wasn't unusual for (Y/n)'s mother to call him. She knew he lived alone and would check up on him every once in a while. She had known him since her daughter and him became friends and she had seen him grow. It was only normal for her to be attached to the male.

"Haku, sorry for calling you so late in the night. I wanted to know if (Y/n) was with you at the moment ?" She crossed her fingers, trying to remain calm. She didn't want to worry him.

The male frowned at the other end of the call, sitting back up. "No, why ? Is there something wrong ?" He had a bad feeling about this, his heart once again doing loops in his throat.

Lynn paused, massaging her temples to alleviate the tension building up in her nerves.

"Do you know where she could be ? She sent me a message telling me she needed some time away.... But I'm worried." She queried, voice laced with tears as she brought a trembling hand to her lips, nagging at her nails.

The male stood up, pacing around the room. He ran a hand through his dishevelled locks, a heavy sigh falling from his lips. "I'm sorry but I have no idea. She didn't tell me anything."

Because this hadn't been part of her plans. (Y/n) wasn't the impulsive type either so this certainly hadn't been an out of the blue decision.

Worry nagged at his mind, thoughts flooding his brain.

Did something happen ? Why disappear so suddenly ?

The image of the white haired mathematician invaded his mind.

Was it something to do with Chuichi ? Had she finally confronted him and it went downhill ?

No... This was crazy. Seriously this wasn't some kind of Hollywoodian movie.

But then again he had seen what the blue eyed male was capable of. Who knew what else he could do.

He shook his head. He'd think about it later, right now he had to reassure and help his best friend's mother. Lynn had always been very protective of her children, surely she wasn't living this well.

"I'm sorry but I don't." He said. "I'll call Alex to ask her." Resolve dripped from his voice.

Whatever it was (Y/n) was facing right now, there was no way in hell he'd leave her alone.
