~F/N POV~
I was stood in the investigation observation room watching Hank through the 2-way mirror. There were 4 of us observing Hank question the android we'd caught. Me, Connor, Chris Miller and the one and only Gavin Reed. It didn't feel great being in the same room as him. I'd been avoiding him for several weeks, every time I saw him enter the office I'd leave or head to the opposite side to occupy myself and avoid conversation with him. This was the 1st time I'd been so close to him in a while. He was leant up against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest just watching Hank. The android wasn't cooperating, it just sat there in silence, refusing to give us any answers or even a confession. I sighed and leaned back in my chair beside Chris, wiping my forehead of the small amount of sweat that'd gathered there. Connor hadn't said much since we got back to the station. He was just lifeless, as a machine should be I guess, but it felt awkward. I didn't like him just standing there not saying anything, not knowing if he was analysing anyone. What could he find out from analysing a person I wonder?
"What happened before you took that knife?" Hank asked. Nothing.
"How long were ya in the attic?" He questioned again. No response.
"Why didn't you even try to run away?" Again, no response from the damaged android. Hank clicked his fingers in front of the android but still got absolutely nothing. He looked to the mirror and then slammed his hands down on the table in frustration.
"Say something, goddammit!" The android remained silent. Hank shook his head and got up, heading back to the room the rest of us were in.
"Fuck it, I'm outta here..."
When he entered the observation room, we all glanced at him and he began to voice his frustrations to us again, "We're wasting our time interrogating a machine, we're gettin' nothing out of it!" He sat down next to me and Chris with a huff.
"Could always try roughing it up a little," Gavin spoke up offering a suggestion, "After all, it's not human..." A stupid one at that.
"Of course, you'd say that" I growled and glared at him. Sometimes he could be an absolute asshole.
"Androids don't feel pain. You would only damage it and that wouldn't make it talk," Connor explained to the dumbass against the wall. I snickered.
"What the fuck is funny to you?" He stared at me with narrowed eyes.
"Your dumbass idea, or just your dumb ass. Obviously," I rolled my eyes and mumbled.
"The fuck did you-"
"Enough!" Hank cut between us. The room fell silent, it was awkward. There was anger radiating from Gavin. Good, piece of shit.
"Deviants also have a tendency to self-destruct when they're in stressful situations," Connor continued to educate us all. Gavin spoke up again, I really wish he'd just shut up and leave. He wasn't even at the scene, unless he was hiding outside the whole time, so why was he even here.
"Okay, smartass. What should we do then?" He poked at Connor, which annoyed me more than it probably should've.
"If you need to leave, to avoid an argument. Don't be afraid to, I can handle it," Hank whispered over to me as I growled. My features softened at his reassuring smile. I nodded in response and began to leave just to hear Connor suggest he question it. I froze and looked back at him to see Reed laugh at the idea. It wasn't a stupid idea, but it did sound a little weird. An android interrogating another android, unheard of here. Hank allowed Connor to do so and just as I entered the hallway, Connor exited the observation room after me, the door closing behind us both.
